Meet little Heartbeat! His nose looks like a heart which is perfect since he is so loving. Heartbeat likes his naps, when he is tired he looks for anyone that will pick him up and snuggle. He loves everyone he meets and gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. We dont know his parents, but we were told he is a Lab mix (best guess terrier/lab mix), he looks lab and has all the personality traits of a lab puppy, just still a little small but growing fast. Story
If friendliness had a face, it would be 2-year-old Ferret’s face! At a fit 45 pounds, the sweet, gentle and affectionate black and white beauty LOVES being hugged and petted by his foster dad, putting his paw on him and resting his head on him for more of the cuddling he craves. He also loves having his chin and belly rubbed, burrowing beneath the covers, and army crawling under the furniture when he gets the zoomies. An eager explorer of his environment and avid adventurer, Ferret loves going for long walks and hikes with his foster dad, walking excellently on leash, and accompanying him on rides, short and long, in the car. Always excited about engaging with other dogs of assorted sizes, he gets along wonderfully with adults and children of all ages, and does well with cats. Extremely fond of meat-based treats such as hot dogs and beef, Ferret loves chew toys and bones, and has a favorite, hard plastic chew toy that he plays with every night. Motivated by food and love, he currently knows “come,” “stay” and “no,” and is crate trained and house-trained to use a doggy door. Now all Ferret needs to fulfill his dream of happily-ever-after is an especially loving home, perhaps with another canine companion, to complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, mentally and physically, fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
If friendliness had a face, it would be 10-month-old Felipe’s face. While the 40-pound black-and-white beauty was initially shy, once he warmed up to his fosters, he wanted nothing more than to snuggle and cuddle with them, rest his head on them, sleep on top of them and then follow them everywhere. Preferring to be petted under the chin rather than above the head, Felipe does a fine rendition of the ranger crawl, is fabulously frisky with his doggy foster friends, and politely respects the senior dog’s boundaries. Percolating with puppy enthusiasm and energy, he loves going on walks, zigzagging slightly in his eagerness to meet other dogs, enjoys playing games of fetch, playing with toys, especially balls, and chewing bones. Motivated by food and toys, he currently knows “come” and “leave it,” and is crate-trained and almost fully house-trained. Only just starting life’s journey, Felipe will fit perfectly into a particularly loving home, preferably with another playful dog, and patient adopters who will bolster his confidence, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, mentally and physically, fur-ever. See more photos of Felipe here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
Ever so LARGE in love, beautiful 3-year-old Lilah is blissfully unaware of her size. Percolating with puppylike enthusiasm and energy, the 45-pound former stray is sweeter than sweet and could easily exist on a steady diet of snuggles from her foster mom. She loves resting her head on her, giving her her paw to ask for love, rolling over for belly rubs and burrowing under the covers. As active as she is affectionate, Lilah also loves water, tug toys and chew toys, running around outside and playing with other playful dogs of all sizes (she would make an ideal hiking companion). Tender towards the resident 3-year-old twins, she enjoys engaging with one of the three kitties while ignoring the other two, and is starting to learn her basic commands. Highly intelligent and motivated both by loving praise and food, she’s at work on her leash walking skills, is already crate trained (toys and treats work wonders) and almost fully house-trained. Now what lively Lilah needs is a firm but loving “pack leader” in a home with older, calmer dog-savvy children, to patiently teach her what “obedience” means, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her mentally and physically satisfied fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Disco was found in San Antonio Texas, he was seeking refuge in bushes to stay out of the dreadful summer weather in Texas. He is super sweet! He loves to play with toys! He is high energy and still has puppy behavior. He would make the perfect dog for anyone who enjoys being active. The best part is that we have never heard him bark! Story
Update! The results are in! Ebony's brother Brownie, now Riddick...just took a DNA test, turns out she's 100%... that basa$$ puppy! Riddick shows: 29.1% German Shepherd Dog, 28% American Bully, 14.8% Cane Corso, 11.1% Belgian Malinois, 9.8% Dutch Shepherd, 7.2% American Pit Bull Terrier, Ebony was found left in front of an Elementary School with her brother Riddick. She is only about five months old but has the courage of someone who’s been there, done that. She doesn’t let her big Great Dane/Mastiff foster brother get away with not always wanting to play and has been known to hide and then sneak attack her Shepherd foster sister. Ebony is truly a dogs dog and is always part of the pack, but knows that it’s only humans that provide the good belly rubs that make her leg shake. Ebony is probably a true mutt mix of dogs that could include hound, lab, mastiff, pittie, bully, sugar, spice and everything nice with who knows what else. Ebony is a very smart and intuitive puppy. She is highly food motivated and learned to sit in just one day. Ebony is familiar with doggie doors also. She is always eager to run and play and often gets the zoomies. She enjoys eating ice and will often sit at the refrigerator waiting for a piece when someone is getting ice. She loves to give kisses and is just an overall sweetheart. What's your favourite colour? Ebony is being fostered in Denver, Colorado. ##2152295##

Shelter Visiting Hours are 12 pm to 4 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event:https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##796728##

Story
Cooper is a four year old, 65 pound golden retriever mix. He is as sweet and goofy as can be, and would spend every second with his owners if he could. Some of his favorite activities include cuddling, hiking, RVing, swimming and did we say cuddling! While he can be active, he also loves his downtime especially if it includes you. He is potty trained, crate trained, and knows a variety of tricks/commands.   Cooper loves all humans, but can be selective with his dog friends and needs slow introductions. He needs to be the only dog in the home and will need a home with a private yard. Cooper would love to continue working with his trainer, and would come with a series of one on one classes with his new owner at no cost.    Cooper will truly be the most incredible and loving companion for someone special. He is a wonderful dog!    My contact info: Cell - 303.618.4285 Email - bpbroe@gmail.com     This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs.
