Story
This is Crockett, a stunning wolfhound(?)/schnauzer(?)/doodle(?)/labrador(?) mix, who was surrendered to us because city life was too exciting for him. Crockett is a big, strong boy, at almost 100lbs. He has a medium energy level and has been completely appropriate with every dog we've ever introduced him to. He is comical, eager to please, smart, affectionate.....and sometimes a bit stubborn! He is very chill and is not the kind of dog that is up in your face all the time.Crockett would do best in a suburban or rural area, with dog savvy adult owners that like to throw a ball and perhaps another dog. Due to his size, Crockett would not be a good fit for a home with children. Please note that Crockett will need regular grooming. This dog is being cared for by: National Greyhound Adoption Program 10901 Dutton Road Philadelphia, PA 19154 PA Kennel License #3069. Our adoption areas include PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD, DC and NoVA.

Story
Meet Mello – Delightfully One of a Kind Mello is the kind of dog who makes you do a double take—in the best possible way. With his short legs, slightly wiry coat, and unmistakable charm, he’s living proof that “interesting” and “absolutely adorable” go hand in hand. We’re told he’s a mini labradoodle… but honestly, Mello is just 100% Mello. At 9 years young, this guy still has plenty of pep in his step! He enjoys his walks, loves hanging out with his people, and is the kind of companion who truly values connection. Whether you’re heading out for a stroll or settling in for some couch time, Mello is all in—as long as he’s with you. Now, like any distinguished gentleman, Mello comes with a few quirks. He prefers that his prized possessions (think food or high-value treasures) are respected and not taken from him. With clear boundaries, respectful handling, and an experienced home, this is very manageable—and Mello will reward you with loyalty and love in return. Mello’s highlights:• 9 years young with just the right amount of pep• Affectionate and people-oriented• Enjoys walks and lounging alike• Delightfully unique in both looks and personality Mello is looking for a home that sees the beauty in being a little different—one that will appreciate his quirks, respect his boundaries, and love him for exactly who he is. He may not be your “typical” dog… but he just might be your perfect one Mostly Muttz Rescue, PO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872 ##2646105##

Story
Meet Dagon Dagon is a gentle senior Black Lab who arrived at the shelter through no fault of his own when his beloved owner lost their home. After spending years as a loyal best friend, Dagon is now hoping for a second chance at the comfort of a forever family. True to his Lab nature, Daogn is loving, calm, and eager to please. He enjoys leisurely walks, soft beds, and anything that involves being close to his people. His biggest joy is quiet companionship — sitting nearby, soaking up kind words and gentle pets. Even after all he’s been through, his tail still wags easily and his heart remains wide open. Dagon would be happiest in a peaceful home where he can relax, be cherished, and enjoy his golden years surrounded by love. In return, he offers devotion, gratitude, and the unmatched sweetness only a senior dog can give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with warmth and quiet love,Dagon is ready to meet you. March 7, 2026, 9:03 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **Adoption Fee has been waived for both girls**       **The girls have unique requirements**  My beautiful Chessie/Lab sisters Cher & Sienna. (1) Must be adopted together, and the adoption fee is waived for one of them. They came from a previously severely abusive home when they were pups & (2) are waiting for the perfect family to come along that must have previous experience with abused dogs. They are very sweet and gentle & love kind & tender attention.  Cher is a very shy yet charming canine on a journey to find a patient parent(s) with a relaxed lifestyle. She's looking for someone who can offer gentle guidance to help her come out of her shell. If you treat her sweetly and kindly, she promises to blossom in your care. Meet Our Shy but Sweet Canine Duo - Lab/Chessie Sisters Sienna and Cherry, our Lab/Chessie sisters, have had a challenging start in life. They require a special family with personal experience in caring for abused dogs. These pups have unique needs stemming from their traumatic past, akin to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Background Sienna and Cherry's journey began when they were rescued at the tender age of 5 months. They were starving and scared but have now transformed into beautiful and loving dogs under our care. Personality While initially shy, these sisters have charming personalities that shine through once they feel safe and loved. They yearn for an home that can provide patience and a relaxed lifestyle to help them fully recover from their past traumas. Requirements We are seeking a family with personal experience in caring for abused dogs. Sienna and Cherry need a family that understands their history and is committed to continuing their healing and trust-building journey. Physical Characteristics As of now, both dogs weigh around 75 lbs when fully grown. There are a few videos below so you can see how they react here in their foster home. Witness their incredible transformation in this video, from their first arrival as scared, starving pups to their thriving selves today.  How to Adopt If you have the love, patience, and experience to provide a forever home to these deserving Lab/Chessie sisters, please  read our adoption requirements & if you can meet or exceed them, you can apply online. Your kindness can help them fully embrace the loving life they deserve. Let's give these sisters the second chance they've been waiting for. Together, we can make their future brighter and full of love. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please Note We have a strict requirement that they can only be adopted by a family with personal experience in caring for abused dogs. Our lovely Lab/Chessie sisters were abused in their previous lives in VA. While they've made great progress in their foster home, they are initially nervous around humans. However, with time and patience, they warm up and show no aggression, only a deep longing for trust and love. We accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal & Credit Cards for the adoption fee.      About LNF Dogs/Puppies: All dogs and puppies have undergone temperament testing. They live in foster homes.
