Reggie was surrendered to a shelter when his owners could no longer keep him. He is about 1 year old. Harper was rescued as a puppy who came up to Delaware from Alabama in October of 2022. I have been caring for him since that time. He is a sweet, lovable, and affectionate dog who loves to go for walks, visit the dog park, play fetch and "catch me if you can" with balls. He settles down well after exercise and loves to cuddle on the couch. He likes his crate, and freely goes into it when he wants quiet time. He has been kid tested only with my 4 year old granddaughter. He was extremely interested in her. Her quick movements sometimes scared him, but he showed no aggression. I think he would do fine with children once he became used to them. Harper responds well to treat training.

Bean is a super-sweet 11 year old Lab-Hound mix. He has the oldest soul and most gentle disposition. He gets along with everyone he meets, children, cats and everybody in-between. He has some behavior issues derived from a neglectful past prior to his adoption with us such as grabbing food off the counter or getting in the trash can. We have solved this by getting a lid for the trash can and securing with a child safety lock. Unfortunate circumstances arose when I was divorced and traveled across the country from California to my home state very suddenly in 2020. Since then, we have been uncomfortably managing. I now have a 7mo infant, two full time jobs to keep food on the table, and virtually no help in a tiny apartment. Heartbreakingly, I can no longer afford to support them financially or timewise. Lemon and Bean both deserve better than what I can give them...I know it is a mountainous request, but having both Bean and Lemon adopted together would mean the world to me.
