Now that her puppies have found their families, it’s her turn to be someone’s baby! Ready for a Patient, Loving HomeJoy is looking for a family who can give her the time and trust she needs to feel secure. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Meet Charlie! Your Energetic, Affectionate Companion! Charlie is a playful and loving one year old pup looking for his forever home! His dad is a Poodle, and his mom is a Labradoodle making Charlie a smart and spirited mix with an affectionate nature. Charlie thrives on companionship and loves to be around people. He has plenty of energy and enjoys outdoor adventures, making him the perfect match for an active family. He’s house-trained and crate-trained, though he will benefit from continued training to refine his manners. Unfortunately, due to our busy schedules and limited space, we’re unable to provide Charlie with the lifestyle he truly deserves. He would do best with a family who has a spacious yard and plenty of time to shower him with love and attention. Another Doodle family would be ideal as this is a very energetic breed and they love to play! Charlie is up to date on all vaccinations and wellness care. Please only local or GA residents only.

Story
This adorable lady is Harlem! She was surrendered to the shelter on January 2nd along with her sister/bestie, Rummi. Sadly, their family lost their home and they had no place for Harlem and Rummi to go. Their former family did note that both girls are good with children, and dog friendly. The volunteers describe both girls as very sweet and friendly, and they sit nicely when asked. Harlem is the more outgoing and confident of the two. If you have room in your heart and home for these sweet girls, we'd love to see them stay together. As we always say anyways, two dogs are better than one! Harlem is approximately 2 years old, and weighs 49 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and did test negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Harlem is waiting patiently in kennel 872; her ID # is 16099. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
