🐾 Onyx – 2-Year-Old Lab Mix Looking for His Perfect Home 🐾 Meet Onyx! This 75-lb goofball is a 2-year-old lab mix with a huge heart and lots of energy. He absolutely loves people and is great with kids. Onyx is playful, affectionate, and happiest when he has space to run, which is why he would thrive in a home with a yard or plenty of room to stretch his legs. Onyx is mostly house-trained and very social. When he sees other dogs, he gets extremely excited because he wants to run over and say hello. He’s not aggressive—just very enthusiastic and still learning his leash manners. Because of his energy, Onyx does best with an active owner who can give him exercise, structure, and plenty of toys to keep him busy. At 75 lbs, he doesn’t always realize his size and loves zoomies, so a home with space is ideal. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving dog who will keep life exciting and fill your home with personality, Onyx might be your guy. 🐶

Story
Our dog was a Christmas gift for our two children in 2020 during the pandemic. Our family traveled nearly 100 miles to the breeder’s home to pick him up. The kids loved him and enjoyed his company. Once we returned to a “normal “ routine following the pandemic, it became a bit more challenging to keep up with daily walks and doggie care. Yet, we continued until both kids graduated from high school and left for college. We travel more now and the kids are no longer living at home to constantly love on the doggie. We’d love for him to be with someone who has more dedicated time to spend with and nurture him.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Logan has been with Castoff Pet Rescue since April 2019 — over 6 years — without a single application. Not one. And we truly don’t understand why. He may be a big, dark-coated dog who doesn’t stand out in photos, and has waited a long time to be someone’s only (selective with other dogs), but Logan is pure gold. He gives the best kisses, proudly parades his Kong like a trophy, and has the perfect mix of goofy fun and old-soul loyalty. Logan is 8 years old, 55 lbs, fully housetrained and crate-trained, and a graduate of a prison training program. He knows sit, down, heel, place, and leave it — and walks great on leash. Best home for Logan: &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Kids 13+ &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 No cats or small animals &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Fenced yard preferred &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Possible female dog (meet required) &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Someone ready to finally choose him Vetted & ready: Neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, on prevention. Story
Please contact Marta (ultramarta@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Hazel's journey to find her forever home has been one of resilience and love. This beautiful girl had a tragic start when, at just a few weeks old, she and her siblings became part of a court case in which their owners were charged with severe abuse and neglect. In April 2023, Hazel and two of her siblings came into my care as foster babies. Since then, she has blossomed in a happy and safe environment, surrounded by her brother and sister. Hazel is 2 years old, weighs approximately 50 pounds and has been spayed. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She is crate trained & housebroken.  Hazel is an obedient girl and she knows basic commands such as Sit, Wait, Treat, Walk and Get In. She sleeps 8 hours a night in her crate and never makes a peep. She plays well with her canine siblings and other dogs she knows.  She has medium energy, walks well on a leash and loves to take walks around the neighborhood. Hazel loves people that she knows, but she needs time to warm up to new people. She is a timid girl and likes to take things slowly. She is food motivated which makes her easier to train. She loves to chase squirrels, so a watchful eye is needed. She has never been tested with cats. She would love a fenced backyard because she loves to run and play with the ball. If she runs in the yard for 10-15 mins then she’ll curl up and sleep.  If she doesn’t have a yard, she would do fine with a couple 1.5-2 mile walks per day with additional pee breaks throughout the day. Hazel would thrive as an only dog or with a compatible canine companion.  Her main need is for loving people.  She loves to sit close to you while you’re working or watching TV. Hazel has shown incredible strength despite her difficult beginnings. She deserves a forever home where she can continue to thrive and bring joy and love to a new person or family.March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm
