Story
Basil was a rescue dog. She was abused. She has grown so much and is the sweetest! She trust women more than men but loves her family. She loves to run and play in water. When I walk she stays by my side and always comes when I call. Her owners husband died last year and the wife is moving and can’t have her anymore. I already have 2 dogs and can’t take her. She gets anxious on car rides and tends to bark at strangers. But calms down. She needs a loving patient home that exercises her.

Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, Rescueme.org or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Answering the questions below, will help move the adoption prcoess along faster. Meet Hercules, age estimate between 7-9yrs old, neutered, chocolate lab mix. Hercules was abandoned at a business in Yamhill County, he is a very goofy, sweet boy, we were surprised no one came for him. He had some skin issues that took some time to resolve and the fur on his back is still growing in. Hercules is a big boy, weighing in at 93 pounds, he loves tennis balls and chuck-its, he would play fetch all day, well more like he gets the ball, then teases you with it!!! He is housebroken, he listens well, he knows basic commands. He loves everyone, likes to take his time wondering aorund the yard, so he would prefer a private fenced yard. Due to his size, he would not be good for someone who easily falls over, such as toddlers. He ignores our dogs, but would prefer a female dog, close in size, he has not been cat tested. He would love a home where he can be with his owner, a big comfy bed, lost of tennis balls, he is goofy, so laughter will be apart of your day. My adoption fee is $125: Included Neuter, senior blood work,Microchip, vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1lbs bag of food. 1. Do you have a privately fenced yard? 2. How many humans and ages live in your home? Male/female for adults? 3. How many animals, types and male/female for dogs? 4. Do you have the patience to allow Hercules to get comfortable with you? 5. He needs an owner who can take him on walks and play fetch, is this something you can do? 6. He has flea allergy, so he needs good flea medication, is this something you can do?

Story
Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Please be patient, we try and get back to you as quickly as possible, answering the questions below, help us greatly. Meet Tummy, he is a Labrador/chow mix, neutered male and is 16yrs old. This very sweet boy needs a home for his last few months to years of life. Tummmy's blood work came back normal, but he has several concerning mass's, that we are testing. For all is life Tummy had a home, they tried there best to take care of him, but struggled themselves, so they didn't come back for him. We are asking for someone to open their hearts and home to this sweet boy, he should not spend his final days, months, maybe years in a shelter, while Tummy loves all humans and all dogs, he cannot live with cats. Don't let his age fool you, he loves to prance around our field, he is not a fan of car rides, but does love short walks. My adoption fee is $100. If you are within 30 minutes of McMinnville, we would love to do a hospice foster, or foster to adopt. 1. Do you have a privately fenced yard? 2. How many humans and ages live in your home? 3. How many animals and types? 4. Do you have several soft doggie beds for him to lay in? 5. Does your backyard get sun? He loves to sun bathe. 6. Do you have the time to give him hugs and kisses? 7. What would a typical Tummy day be like?

Story
Bear is a very sweet and lower energy dog. We think he’s Labrador and part Cane Corso or Great Dane or Rottweiler but unsure. Just guessing by his face (big). Original owner said maybe Great Dane. He is about 2 1/2 years old. He is very well mannered, potty trained, does well with cats, dogs (loves them!) & kids. Does not get on furniture, dig, jump or bark. Only to alert, maybe. He fits through a large dog door and uses it. He came from an abusive/neglectful home. He has some marks on him, now under is new pretty fur. He came here under weight & wary of his surroundings. He’s come a long way. He loves his snacks, Kong bone, his ball, rope toys, and to be around his people. He likes to play & is goofy. He seems like an English Lab in a large breed’s body. He would be a perfect family dog. Likes to be around children and other dogs! He’s patient. He should sleep indoors, because he deserves it. Currently in McMinnville. Willing to bring far for his forever loving family.
