Story
Vader is a very sweet and affectionate dog who loves being around people. He enjoys cuddling, going on long walks, and being part of whatever his family is doing. He has a friendly personality and thrives on companionship and attention. After moving into an apartment in Portland last year, we discovered that Vader struggles with being left alone for extended periods and will bark when separated from his people. Unfortunately, our current living situation and busy schedules have made it difficult for us to dedicate the time and consistency needed to work through his separation anxiety. Vader is currently being treated for an ear infection and is a little behind on a couple of vaccinations. He is also eating a prescription kibble recommended by his vet due to a suspected skin allergy. Despite these manageable health needs, Vader is a loving dog who would do best in a home where someone is around more often and can provide him with the attention, companionship, and support he enjoys.

Interested in becoming a forever home for Lola? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $850. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Austin is at Project POOCH. To learn more and to apply, go here - pooch.org/austin I’m still figuring out how to be my sweet social self with new people, so please be patient with me! My human friends say that I am so cute and sweet. My dog friends say “woof-woof, bark” which ruffly translates to: “He’s a blast!” Austin is a sweet young man who is learning as much as he can about the world. He can be sensitive about new situations but is realizing that he doesn’t have to be scared of novel experiences. Since coming to POOCH he has discovered that other dogs aren’t scary, they’re actually a LOT of fun! He is enjoying playgroups with POOCH and daycare dogs, and is getting a lot of social learning from them, like how to play in the pool. He would probably enjoy having a dog friend to live with, maybe they can even help boost his confidence. The youth are doing a good job working on his basic cues, like sit and down, and his life skills, like crate training and handling for the vet and grooming. He can be slower to pick things up compared to others in his cohort, so would benefit from some patience in a handler. If you’re looking for a dog who makes you feel chosen when he loves up on you, Austin might be that special one. Bonus, he can be ultra goofy!

Story
Maya came to us pregnant 4 weeks ago had one puppy ! Maya is 9 years old and has been used as a breeder. That ends now ! She gets a dental and spayed soon and then she will be up for adoption ! Stayed tuned ☺️ BIG THANKS TO LYNN FOR FOSTERING HER AND HELPING WITH THE BIRTH OF HER SINGLE PUP! ALSO THANK YOU BETH PARKER ~TENDER TOUCH GROOMING FOR HER SPA DAY 🥰 Forever home needed Hi, my name is Maya and I'm 9 years old. I just got spayed, had my teeth cleaned, and got a microchip. My foster mom helped me have my puppy and comforted me during labor and birth. My personality allowed her to crawl into the whelping box and we only knew each other for 12 hours. She says I'm very smart and goofy! I'm a puppy attitude in a 82# body. When I'm excited, I like to grab a "stuffie" and show them to you. I've NOT made one mistake in the house! I've been here 3 months, so I'm pretty proud of how housebroken I am. I'm very good at sitting when told, and stand quietly when getting my leash on. I definitely need a reminder about leash walking. I'm pretty strong and get "hearing selective" when something catches my attention. A fenced yard would be best. I like to try and scare other dogs, but would like a submissive male to play with. I'm probably a counter surfer and may get into the trash if given the opportunity. I stole a bag of treats off of a shelf. I'm an opportunist. I love lying by the slider door, in the sun and am good in the house. I'll talk to you if I need to go outside. All in all, I'm a very good girl. Please give me an opportunity to prove to you.

These pups are in Beaverton, Oregon too!

I got Roscoe from the Portland Humane Society three years ago and he has developed into an amazing dog. He can surprise easily but I keep him on a tight gentle leader and he does alright. He’s been a very loyal and loving companion and loves to play and is very good around the apartment.I need to let him go due to a new job that will require me to travel. He’s a great dog.I live in Hillsboro, Oregon and will waive adoption fee for a good home for him. it would be great if he could find a home with no kids and an enclosed yard as he loves being outside.I need to travel for work so so am willing to consider a short term foster or rehome if the new owners love him

Meet sweet Marra!Marra is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. She has had a very hard start to life. Found at a dump in California, riddled with mange and underweight, she still did everything to nurse her newborns surrounded by garbage.Upon rescue, she was unsure of humans. Would submit and lay down with every person she saw. We suspect she has never been in a home, but strangers took care of her on the streets. With a month of training in Oregon, Marra has come a long way! She is the sweetest, most gentle, quiet lady who just loves to be loved. She is excited everytime our kid volunteers walk her, loves snuggling on the couch with her humans, and never says no to walks.Marra is a very easy going girl. She is amazing on the leash, great with other dogs, crate and potty trained and always eager to learn more!Because she is so calm, a low key environment full of love is her ideal home!Marra is a red pit mix, 3 years old, around 45lbs. She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. If interested in finally giving this girl her forever happy ending please text her trainer Linda at (503) 707-1905 or fill out the app below.Marra is a courtesy post for Imagine Peace for Pups. ##2720824##
