We adopted Dune from the Allen Animal Shelter and immediately fell in love with him! We belief he is a lab/husky mix and is about 1.5 years old. He is so goofy, loves to run, and is a big cuddle bug. He is house trained and learns new tricks very quickly. He knows how to wait before he eats, sit, walk on a leash, and leave it. He is super smart and easily trainable. He is great with other dogs and loves kids! He just cannot be in a home with cats. He is very prey driven, especially on walks when he sees a squirrel! We are so sad to have to rehome Dune, he is such an amazing dog! We unfortunately just cannot make it work with our cats.

He gets along very well with other dogs and children, he just plays a lot. Prince LOVES to run around in the yard so if you have a fenced in yard that would be great! He is crate trained and knows the words, “Crate/cage, Sit, lay, Outside, Potty, leave it and come on” REASON FOR REHOMING: Working longer hours and getting ready to move away and unfortunately not able to give him the love and attention he needs or deserves.

Lucy is the beloved dog of our father-in-law, who recently suffered a massive stroke and is currently in the ICU. We do not yet know his long-term prognosis, but it is unlikely he will be able to live independently anytime soon.Our family is navigating this medical crisis while also managing ongoing caregiving responsibilities for extended family members and caring for our own 12-week-old puppy. Lucy is approximately 8–9 years old and has diabetes and a seizure disorder requiring ongoing care. She is sweet and deeply loved, but she is large, strong, grieving her owner, and needs more attention and consistency than we can realistically provide right now.We are not looking to permanently rehome her. We are hoping to find a temporary foster placement while we determine our father-in-law’s future care needs. We are willing to remain financially responsible for Lucy’s food, medications, diabetic supplies, and veterinary care during the foster period.
