Story
Simon, "S", in the Wheel of Fortune Litter was born on April 29, just one day after his mom, Vanna, was rescued—talk about perfect timing! These adorable pups have been raised in loving foster homes since birth and have received lots of socialization and care.
We believe they are a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix with a splash of Corgi. We actually know their family tree because we also rescued their grandmother, Ruthie (mom of the Baseball Litter-all adopted)! Based on their mom and grabdma's weights, we expect them to mature to approximately 40–60 pounds, though that’s only our best estimate.
The puppies are happy, playful, and affectionate. They are being introduced to house training, crate training, leash walking, and all the important skills needed to become wonderful family companions.
They are dog, cat, and kid friendly and love being part of the action.
Their ideal home would have someone home more often than not to continue their training and socialization.
A fenced yard is a bonus, but they could also do well in an apartment with adequate daily exercise and enrichment.
They would love a canine companion to play with but would also thrive with an active family committed to helping them grow into confident, well-mannered adults.

ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care. All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!

Qualifications for Adoption: No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.
Must be home more than not.
Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.
Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address.
Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.
Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting.
Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet.
Must have a secure fence if in a house.
All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.
DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas.
