This 4-year-old black Lab mix (a perfectly cuddly 50 pounds) was surrendered by his owner for reasons we’ll never understand—probably for being too sweet, too loyal, or too snuggly. Unfortunately, the days turned into weeks, then months, and Samson quietly became the longest resident at the shelter, which is never a good thing for a dog. But just when hope was fading, The Misfit Ranch got a call from shelter staff: “Please help Samson. We all love him.” That was all we needed. We swooped in, and Samson is now thriving in a cozy foster home where he’s proving to be nearly perfect. ✅ House-trained? Check. ✅ Friendly with people and dogs? Absolutely. ✅ Ready for outdoor adventures? Completely—running, hiking, exploring… he’s up for all of it. Now let’s talk about his quirk, because every great character has one. When Samson first arrived in foster care, we thought he struggled only with being alone in small, dark rooms. But as he’s settled in, we’ve learned something important: Samson has some separation anxiety. Bear is a 3 year old male. Born 10/31/22. He loves whole heartedly and loves to cuddle. Bear is territorial, and can get anxious around other dogs. Bear is very good around my children and loves to play and go on walks. Our family has decided to rehome Bear due to him not getting along with neighbor dogs as well as our own young male dog (golden retriever). He is an alpha dog, but he loves our female golden retriever. Our family feels it is best to rehome Bear into a home that will provide a safe backyard that is very secured, as well as a loving home that can meet all his needs. He's a very sweet sensitive boy in the privacy of his home. He loves to show his emotions without holding back! He talks a lot! Must be the border collie in him. Whoever takes this love bug in will find this fur baby to be a sweet soul. I hope and pray that he finds his forever home that loves him whole hearted!

Harlow is a 4-year-old Lab mix (born January 2021) who’s incredibly smart, sweet, and loyal. Sadly, I’ve developed asthma due to allergies, and with our recent move to a no-dog rental, we can no longer give her the life she deserves. She’s kennel trained and currently spends nights inside and days in a 10x16 outdoor run, but she needs more—walks, adventures, and time with someone who will give her the attention she craves. Harlow is full of energy, eager to please, and quick to learn, but she does need a bit more leash training and consistency to bring out her best. She thrives on love, structure, and activity, and with the right person she will be the most loyal companion you could ask for. We’re heartbroken to let her go, but we’re committed to finding her the perfect home where she can be truly happy. Serious inquiries only—Harlow deserves the right fit.

From living outside in a drainage pipe to being taken to the shelter, only to be pulled by EARN, and then reunited, this little family took the long road to safety, but all that matters is that they have arrived together! EARN founder Jill was first alerted by concerned citizens about these puppies' Momma Holly defending her pups against coyotes and moving them as needed, one by one, to keep them safe from predators and the elements. Jill became absolutely enamored with this little family and enrolled them as rescue pups through EARN. Now all three are temporarily staying with Jill while they settle into life as house dogs. Momma Holly is already potty trained, crate trained, and gets along great with other dogs, kids, and cats! The puppies are playful, loving and can’t wait to find their forever homes. All three will be taken to our vet as soon as possible, and in the meantime, we are sharing them in hopes that they will be adopted soon. After their stay with Jill, all three will be going to another foster home where they will stay until January 10th. They can be adopted as of January 10th!

I adopted Frankie 5 years ago in South Carolina when I was stationed there. His paper work said he was six months when we got him so he’ll be 6 years in march. I’m looking for a loving home for him. He’s very affectionate and energetic. It hurts me to have to give him up but life changes (kid with another on the way) and increasing career responsibility have made it impossible for us to care for him the way he needs. He’s very excitable and loves to offer his paw. Incredibly intelligent, before moving he was able to ask for water by ringing a bell. He lets you know when he needs to go out to potty.
