Story
Pepper was originally named Paprika when she was found with her 8 pup siblings in a box on a hot day as a puppy. She was in a foster home until she was adopted st 8 weeks old. She was immediately learning tricks quickly and became house broken quickly. She's been properly vaccinated and was spayed. Pepper is very scared of most new people and it comes out as aggression when she's protecting her family. She needs a home with no small children and lots of patience to work with her on her instinct to protect in this way. Besides this, she is a very good girl. She doesn't have accidents or destroy the house. She aims to please and loves doing tricks and going on walks

Story
Our beautiful girl Shawna was rescued from the Corona Animal Shelter after she and a small Chihuahua were found tied up and abandoned in front of the shelter one morning when staff arrived. Her Chihuahua friend was adopted quickly which left Shawna even more confused and alone. Shelter volunteers who are also PAWS members quickly saw how sweet and calm Shawna is and pulled her to safety. She went immediately into a foster home where she has proved those first impressions to be true. Shawna is a lab mix, approximately 5 years old and 65lbs. Once in foster care it was noticed that she had some trouble getting up from a laying down position and a limp when she walked. After a vet visit, it was discovered that she was born with two deformed hips and a front elbow that prevents her from being able to bend it. She is on prescribed medication and a monthly Librela injection to help her thrive in our care. Other than a little stiffness getting up after lying down she is doing great. In fact her front leg deformation causes her to lay sprawled out like a little black seal sunbathing on the beach! Shawna is in no way disabled. She can climb stairs and go on short walks. She is special because of her birth defect and that just makes her even more loving! Shawna adapted quickly to her foster home. She immediately got along with her three doggie foster sisters. She showed them that she loves belly rubs & loves to be around her humans and other dogs. She is an easy keeper and does not ask for much in return. A couch or bed to crash on, food in her belly and some occasional treats that she will sit pretty for. Shawna will sit politely like a good girl with her foster sisters awaiting her treats but she really thinks that they are all hers! She sleeps through the night; in a crate or perfectly in a doggie bed, as long as she is near her humans. She is potty trained and up to date on all vaccines plus a fecal test. If you are looking for a sweet loving, low maintenance girl, then look no further. Shawna deserves a second chance at life in a loving home. Shawna's adoption fee is $195

Story
Meet Our Sweet Chocolate Lab Looking for His Perfect Home! We are looking to rehome our young chocolate Labrador to a family who can provide the structure, training, and attention he truly deserves. He is a loving, energetic boy with so much potential — he just needs the right environment to thrive. He is very food-motivated, loves to play catch, and can be incredibly sweet once he feels comfortable. However, he does need an adopter who understands that he requires consistent training. He can become reactive and easily overstimulated, especially around unfamiliar people, places, and objects. New situations make him nervous and anxious, so patience and positive reinforcement are a must. Due to our busy schedules, he has been spending too much time alone, and we know this isn’t fair to him. He needs an owner who has the time, experience, and commitment to help him build confidence and learn how to navigate the world calmly. If you’re someone who loves working with dogs, enjoys traini

Story
Scout is a 1yr old, male, yellow, Labrador Retriever. He is good with other dogs, neutral with cats and horses, friendly and loves attention. He can be a little shy at first, but within minutes is your best friend. We are confident he will be a confident, social butterfly in no time, as he settles in and we continue to socialize him. Scout loves water, playing with dogs and hanging out with his family. He is quiet and calm in the crate and is learning to go in on command. Scout is currently potty training and has started his obedience training. He is treat motivated, making training easy and efficient. Scout was thin when rescued, so we are working on putting more weight on him in a safe manner. He has been microchipped and brought up to date on vaccinations and deworming.   If you are interested in adopting or fostering Scout, click the Adopt or Foster button above to submit an application. If the application is accepted, we will send an email with the next steps and schedule a phone call to go over questions and provide more information. We usually receive multiple applications for each dog/cat. Adopters are chosen in the order of APPROVAL. This profile has all known information and pictures known so far. Videos will be in posts on our social media. Facebook and Instagram are @deltaforceanimalmission   Each social media page has our Link Tree in the Bio which contains information on adoption requirements, the approval process, our contracts, etc. WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO GENERIC "Interested" "send more info" "send pics and video" or requests for phone calls, as we get hundreds per day and are a 100% volunteer run rescue, so we just don't have the man power.  ##2468657##

Story
Hank IS AVAILABLE (updated 12-12-2025). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/hank Hank is less than a year old, and is a mixed breed puppy. Weââ&#194&#130¬â&#194&#132¢re not sure what his mix is, but possibly german shepherd, black lab, and husky (due to his cute tail which gets curlier and curlier whenever heââ&#194&#130¬â&#194&#132¢s happy or excited). He was pulled from a high-kill animal shelter with just 3 hours to spare. Hank likes to toss his rope toy in the air and catch it, and he loves a good squeaky ball. Hank loves people and is affectionate, intelligent, and very high energy. He has been trained for basic commands, is potty trained, and has been trained to be comfortable around vacuum cleaners. Hankââ&#194&#130¬â&#194&#132¢s shelter paperwork described him as good with other dogs, but he has been known to become reactive when heââ&#194&#130¬â&#194&#132¢s walking on a leash and sees another dog. We think this is because of built up frustration due to being quarantined from other dogs for a couple of weeks after leaving the shelter (a standard precautionââ&#194&#130¬â&#194&#128&#194&#157Hank has a clean bill of health from the vet, and his 2-week quarantine is now up). He will be receiving some extra training to reintegrate him with other dogs as we feel he could greatly benefit from some doggy playtime. Hank can be overly enthusiastic with his affections, so he is not recommended for homes with small children. Hank would do best with an active family that is able to walk him daily and possibly take him for hikes, runs, etc. This handsome boy likes to move. Hank is currently looking for a foster family or a forever family. His re-homing fee is $80. His vaccinations are up to date, and he has been neutered. The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.December 12, 2025, 5:36 am
