Story
Obie was originally adopted by my grandmother during Covid and she is no longer able to take care of him. He is a very sweet and loving dog who loves being outside. He’s loves snuggles and is always ready to play. Obie is timid and very fearful around construction and new animals, but is able to get through with help. He is a bit too excited during his play for cats, but would probably love another dog to play with

Story
Cash is a handsome, silver-muzzled elder gentleman who is ready to leave the shelter life behind him and start anew. He`s a pretty low-key guy who enjoys the simple pleasures that life has to offer, such as long walks at a slow, leisurely pace, and gentle scratches. Cash is looking for a quiet retirement home where he can rest his old bones and get spoiled with love. He could potentially live with another older, low-key dog, and we highly recommend that they meet prior to take-home. He also may be able to live with a dog-savvy cat, and children who don`t mind a bigger, bouncy dog. Since Cash is an older, seasoned guy, he has some medical needs that require a close relationship with a vet. If you`re looking for a big lump of a senior dog to welcome into your home this winter, look no further than good ol` Cash Money!

MEET SNOW!My friends describe me as: sweet, friendly and endearing!*I am deaf*Snow is our sweet little lady, that came all the way from the warm south! Now in New England she can truly get to experience her namesake! Snow is not only an endearing sweet girl, but she is also deaf. Snow is super curious and is always ready to play, but will sometimes get overly excited and may want to jump up on her person/people. Snow is eager to learn, and will need a patient adopter that can work on communication together, to ensure she feels understood. Snow is wonderful with other dogs, and likes to romp around and play chase with her other furry friends. Come stop by Dedham to learn more about this wonderful lady!Snow is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Snow or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesHarley Memphis is a sweet, loyal, sensitive soul who is looking for a patient and loving family to live out his golden years. He recently underwent two major surgeries and is looking for a home that will continue to meet his unique medical needs. Although he has some physical limitations, he does not let this bring him down and is enjoying his life to the fullest!A few of Harley’s favorite things include snuggling with his humans, going for short walks, zoomies in small spaces, and spray cheese! Due to his mobility issues, Harley would do best in a home with minimal stairs and that has carpeting as he sometimes slips on hardwood floors. He would love a home with lots of soft dog beds, as he is unable to jump onto furniture. He does well with new dogs after proper introductions, but should have monitored interactions with other dogs, especially when approached from behind, until he feels more confident. Harley is currently thriving in his foster home and does best with structure and boundaries. He has met cats and would do best in a cat-free home as he is a bit too interested in his feline friends. Harley has met children and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy teens (16+) who will respect his personal space and not make sudden, loud noises or movements. Harley is fully house and crate trained. Harley enjoys having his crate door open so he can come and go as he pleases. He rotates through his crate and his favorite dog beds when his foster is at work. Harley enjoys going for short walks around the neighborhood and walks well on leash. Harley is looking for a quiet family who will provide him with structure, love, and support so he can live a life of leisure!Note: Harley recently started physical therapy and will be looking for a home that will continue to be committed to his care and accommodate his physical needs. He currently receives PT in Westford, MA so if you are a resident of MA we can discuss our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program if you are willing to help him finish out his PT sessions (free of charge) at his current clinic! If you are interested, but outside of that geographic range, please don’t hesitate to reach out as we can start our Meet & Greet process to see if he is a good fit while he finishes out his sessions! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.November 14, 2025, 12:31 am

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesMeet the sweetest pup with the most soulful eyes that y9u can get lost in. Justine Sparks is a playful puppy, but listens very well and is happiest when snuggling at your side. Justine is looking for a home that’s ready for all things puppy, where she can grow into a loving and loyal companion.Justine loves other dogs and is excited to meet them. She plays well (with the expected puppy energy!) and also reads social cues well for such a young girl. Justine hasn’t met cats yet but would likely do well with them—she is inquisitive and still developing her confidence, so she would probably let cats make the rules. She enjoys meeting new people and will approach to say hello, taking a minute to investigate a new person before rolling over for a belly rub. Justine has lived with older kids and met lots of neighborhood kids on walks, and she quickly warms up and is great with them all. She would likely do well with kids of any age with appropriate introductions and boundaries. Justine would do great with a canine sibling or without. This smart gilr is house trained and crate trained! She is crated for periods during the day and consistently overnight and is learning to settle in immediately and keep herself entertained with a favorite toy. Despite being a little nervous around traffic noise, she walks well on her leash and has a blast going on walks to explore the neighborhood and meet new friends. Justine is a smart girl and a fast learner who enjoys mastering new skills with the support and love of her humans. If you're looking to add a spark of love to your life, then look no further than Justine Sparks! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
