Adoption details: In some instances, a meet and greet is not possible before adoption unless we have a foster home in New England available. Most times our dogs get adopted before a foster home becomes available - and if so, they go straight to adopters home. Foster parents talk to adopters and feel confident that this will be a match before our dogs are transported up. Also if by some chance it is not a match we have a safety net in place as we ask that adopters to let us know that it is not a match and we direct you to take the dog to a foster home or boarding kennel once that is arranged. If necessary, we will ask you to foster the dog until a foster home can be arranged. Meet Mr. Laid Back! Preacher is the king of snuggles and has perfected his couch potato act! This 3 year old boy has been overlooked for too long and we are on an active campaign to get him in his forever home where he can have his very own family to tell him everyday how perfect he is. Preacher's foster mom has know him for quite some time as she volunteers at the shelter he lived at, he has always been one of her favorites. When cold hit and outdoor pups needed to be in she took him home to live with her dogs.... and he stayed as a foster! She says "he is a big puddle of love and so warm and squishy, he's the best snuggler. He is an overall lower energy dog. He gallops to fetch the ball then lays down next to me with it when he comes back. He is good with dogs big and small, and seems uninterested in cats. He is currently on journey of learning about the world since his experiences were limited in the shelter." Preacher is about 90lbs and admittedly needs to drop a few pounds. He is house and crate trained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vetting.
