Meet Miss Norma! This cutie was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas where her time was almost up. Norma was dumped after being adopted from the City shelter in June. We knew we had to step in and save her. Norma is a 1 year young, lab mix that weights about 50lbs. She does well in her crate over night. Does good on and gets along well with other dogs. Norma is getting used to living in a home and appears to be house broken. To adopt Norma, apply online on our website! www.aplaceforace.org

Story
MEET SUNNY!Sunny is a sweet, stunning boy who enjoys his stuffed animals and large cozy dog beds. He may take a second to warm up to his new person, but once he does you will have an amazing new best friend! We believe Sunny will do best in a teen / adult household as the only pet in the home, though he can do well with dogs with slow introductions and calming leash walks! Bringing Sunny home will make your life just a little bit brighter. For more information on Sunny or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Story
Meet Nala — So Smoochalable! ~ a 4-month-old sweetheart. 💕 Nala was sadly dumped at a school in Puerto Rico with her brother, but despite her rough start, she is full of love and puppy joy. She’s incredibly affectionate, cuddly, playful, and smart, and she truly loves everyone and everything she meets. Nala is potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night without accidents. She waits to go potty outside on the grass and is learning leash walking, basic commands, and home routines very quickly. Like any puppy, Nala will still need continued supervision, enrichment, and socialization, but she’s growing into a loving, well-rounded companion with so much potential. Nala is currently in Puerto Rico but can be flown anywhere to the perfect home. ✈️🐾

Story
Poppy - Queen of the Puppy Dog Eyes's Story Meet Poppy, a 2-month-old, 6-lb little cuddle bug with the sweetest face and the cutest chunky puppy body. Poppy was found dumped on the side of the road in a box with her siblings, abandoned far too young and left completely defenseless. Thankfully, rescue stepped in just in time — and now this little girl is safe, loved, and thriving. Poppy is tubby, playful, and incredibly affectionate. She loves being held, snuggling into your lap, and waddling around looking for attention. She has such a soft, loving personality and the kind of puppy sweetness that makes everyone instantly fall in love with her. Now Poppy is ready for a forever home where she’ll never be abandoned again — just spoiled with cozy beds, belly rubs, and all the love she deserves. *Poppy is in Puerto Rico and will be send up to the states for her forever home or when a foster opens up. This transport is included in her $575 adoption fee*

Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesHarley Memphis is a sweet, loyal, sensitive soul who is looking for a patient and loving family to live out his golden years. He recently underwent two major surgeries and is looking for a home that will continue to meet his unique medical needs. Although he has some physical limitations, he does not let this bring him down and is enjoying his life to the fullest!A few of Harley’s favorite things include snuggling with his humans, going for short walks, zoomies in small spaces, and spray cheese! Due to his mobility issues, Harley would do best in a home with minimal stairs and that has carpeting as he sometimes slips on hardwood floors. He would love a home with lots of soft dog beds, as he is unable to jump onto furniture. He does well with new dogs after proper introductions, but should have monitored interactions with other dogs, especially when approached from behind, until he feels more confident. Harley is currently thriving in his foster home and does best with structure and boundaries. He has met cats and would do best in a cat-free home as he is a bit too interested in his feline friends. Harley has met children and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy teens (16+) who will respect his personal space and not make sudden, loud noises or movements. Harley is fully house and crate trained. Harley enjoys having his crate door open so he can come and go as he pleases. He rotates through his crate and his favorite dog beds when his foster is at work. Harley enjoys going for short walks around the neighborhood and walks well on leash. Harley is looking for a quiet family who will provide him with structure, love, and support so he can live a life of leisure!Note: Harley is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program for prescription medication. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. While her sister enjoys relaxing in a cozy corner, Missie is busy exploring, sniffing around the yard, and checking out all the exciting sights and sounds around her. Whether she's investigating the chicken coop, watching rabbits hop by, or trying to keep up with the big dogs, Missie approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm. She's affectionate, loves to snuggle, and has a fun-loving personality that will keep you smiling.Missie is a social butterfly who gets along well with just about everyone. She enjoys playing with both large and small dogs, greets others politely, and responds well to corrections. She's also a big fan of cats and loves playing with the feline friends in her foster home. Missie does wonderfully with children too, happily switching between playtime and cuddle time. Her friendly nature and adaptable personality make her a great fit for many different types of families.Like any young puppy, Missie is still learning the ropes. She is currently working on potty training and learning how to let her people know when she needs an extra trip outside. She sleeps quietly in her kennel at night, can comfortably spend 7–8 hours crated during the day when needed, and is always excited to start a new day of adventures. Missie has only had limited leash experience so far, but she is eager to learn and catches on quickly. In fact, her foster family has been especially impressed by her intelligence—she figured out a food puzzle in no time and shows all the signs of a puppy who would love learning new skills, tricks, or even a special job someday. If you're looking for a smart, outgoing, and affectionate companion who is ready to grow and learn alongside you, Missie can't wait to meet you! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
