Story
Hey there, I’m Moe! Still waiting… still wagging… still hoping for you!   I’m one of the last two pups from my litter—my brother Larry and I are the dynamic duo still looking for our forever homes! We look a lot alike, but you can spot me by my extra splash of white.   I am almost a year now, I’m a total lovebug who thrives on human attention. Belly rubs? Yes, please. Snuggles? Always. A best friend for life? That’s what I’m here for. I love to bring my toys, treats and even my boys to you. I would love a family to be active and go on adventures on, even if those adventures are playing ball with my kids in the yard! I get along with other dogs, but I seem to prefer females (and my brother, of course). When we go for walks, I am a very good boy on my leash!  When we go to adoption events, I am so good in my crate!  I just like to take naps and get all the pets from new people, young and old.  Kids are my favorite! I don’t know why I’m still waiting, but I do know this: the family who picks me will be getting a heart full of love and a loyal companion for life.   Come meet me—you just might fall head over paws!   ##2345326##

Story
Hi, I’m Larry! Your future best friend with a legendary head tilt!   I’m one of the last two pups from my litter still searching for a forever home—no clue why, because I’m 100% certified good boy! At around a year old, I’ve already mastered the art of loyalty, love, and making you smile.  I've been in rescue since I was born...but I have learned so many things. I can sit, walk really good on a leash, I do great in my crate at the adoption events, share food with my friends and love all of my dog brothers and sisters!   I’m eager to please, love my humans deeply, and when you talk to me… I give the cutest little head tilt that’ll melt your heart.   I may still be waiting, but I know the right family is out there. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and loving pup to complete your crew—I’m your guy!   Come meet me… I’ve been waiting just for you.   ##2345330##

Story
Meet Oliver or as we call him, Ollie! Ollie’s journey hasn’t been easy. When he was first rescued, he was nearly hairless and suffering from painful, mange ridden skin (see last photo). He had been on the euthanasia list at a municipal shelter. A volunteer and a foster fell in love with him, a rescue said yes, and hence started Ollie’s healing journey. Fast forward a few months, he is a handsome, happy, and full of life boy! Most of his fur has grown back beautifully, though he still has a bald patch around his neck and shoulders that may never fully regrow. But honestly, It just adds to his charm. His glow-up is truly something special. Ollie is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. His fosters call him their “golden child” because he’s just about perfect. Ollie is fantastic with every person he meets, including kids, and he absolutely adores other dogs. Ollie is both potty trained and kennel trained. He loves playing with other dogs, chewing on toys, going on walks, car rides, and just chilling. His foster family absolutely adores him, and watching him blossom has been nothing short of heartwarming. Ollie does need weekly baths to keep his skin healthy but they are quick and easy, and he is very cooperative. He is estimated to be around 6-7 years old and weighs about 55 lbs. If you think Ollie is your next best friend apply today: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog Ollie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available in many cities around the country. The adoption fee includes the cost of transport.

Story
Sammy is a man of few words - we don't know where he came from or how old he really is... He has scars on his face and body, refuses to answer questions about the past. We just know, he's a cool dude. He enjoys sunsets and watching horses run in the neighbors yard. He enjoys being out with other chill dogs and roaming between meals. He has gained weight since being at this foster home (where he found safety) - 70 lbs at his neuter up to 98 at his last vet visit. Sammy was heartworm positive, treated and on prevention. He would enjoy a home with experience in rescues or shelter dogs, help him settle - learn routine, then relax. He has not shown strong interests in things or favorites - but likely that will change when he is given attention and in a home. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Adoption Fee reflects the need for an XL crate at travel. His caregiver was upset! They took Sammy in after his owners died and had kept him safe in their barn. He had dog friends, he played with Maggie and observes the farm and other animals without being a problem. We agreed to take on his care, finish his medical needs and work on adoption. Even the older, shy, timid or less expressive dogs can be amazing family pets. Thank you for reading his bio and considering this dude. Volunteers will keep working on photos and fieldtrips to get videos!

Story
Hi! I am looking to find a loving, responsible and happy home for my dog Star, a beautiful, spayed, 70lb black lab pit mix who turned 7 on June 23. She’s youthful, healthy, sweet, and energetic! (aka “Star Puppy”) Star loves being around people (she will want to be your best friend!) She is very active—walking, running, swimming, playing in the snow, sunbathing, sniffing, and fetching! She enjoys some alone time, but is usually ready to play. Star is house trained, leash trained, and respectful of humans’ property and food. Though she’s 7, she can still be trained to do almost anything with some simple treats and consistency! She is always excited to learn. A fenced in yard is great for Star. I think Star needs someone who can play with her, take her on walks, and help her feel at home.

Story
Hello, meet Benny. We are heartbroken to be searching for a new home for him. We rescued Benny in April 2022 when he was a puppy. He is now about 55 lbs and believed to be a Lab/Shepherd mix. Over the past year and a half, Benny has developed significant anxiety around loud noises, crowds, and busy environments. Living in a city apartment near emergency services has been very difficult for him. Most importantly, he has begun showing signs of aggression toward our children, including growling and showing teeth. We believe our active household is too stressful for him, and we must prioritize our children’s safety and Benny’s well-being. Benny would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with a calm environment. He does well with other dogs, is fully house trained, playful, affectionate when relaxed, and very food motivated. We are committed to rehoming him directly, not surrendering him, and finding him a peaceful forever home where he can feel safe and loved.
