Story
Davina came to us from a rural shelter had to 'make space' - concerned that her eye would hinder adoption interest, volunteers reached out to rescue. Davina appears to have a birth defect or puppy trauma, impacting the eyeball appearance and vision of her right eye. She requires no special care and has clearly lived with this limited vision for a long time. Davina is spayed, up to date on vaccines, testing negative for heartworms and on prevention. She has a dark short coat with a long tail and floppy ears. She came to the shelter with a pair of Dobermans so she was assumed to be a litter mate or part Doberman (rescue has not completed DNA). Davina is shy and quiet. She seeks out people for comfort, nudging them to pet her and hold her. In her foster home, she is with small dogs-large dogs and good with both females and males. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- Email with Questions or for Adoption Application - Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org Adoption Application LINK: https://forms.gle/33ciYyXPTL18FfnV6

Story
Sammy is a man of few words - we don't know where he came from or how old he really is... He has scars on his face and body, refuses to answer questions about the past. We just know, he's a cool dude. He enjoys sunsets and watching horses run in the neighbors yard. He enjoys being out with other chill dogs and roaming between meals. He has gained weight since being at this foster home (where he found safety) - 70 lbs at his neuter up to 98 at his last vet visit. Sammy was heartworm positive, treated and on prevention. He would enjoy a home with experience in rescues or shelter dogs, help him settle - learn routine, then relax. He has not shown strong interests in things or favorites - but likely that will change when he is given attention and in a home. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Adoption Fee reflects the need for an XL crate at travel. Email with Questions or for Adoption Application - Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org Adoption Application LINK: https://forms.gle/33ciYyXPTL18FfnV6 --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- Sammy was so shy during a behavioral assessment (standing next to his foster) another rescue passed on him and said - not enough personality to get himself adopted. His caregiver was upset! They took Sammy in after his owners died and had kept him safe in their barn. He had dog friends, he played with Maggie and observes the farm and other animals without being a problem. We agreed to take on his care, finish his medical needs and work on adoption. Even the older, shy, timid or less expressive dogs can be amazing family pets. Thank you for reading his bio and considering this dude. Volunteers will keep working on photos and fieldtrips to get videos!

Story
Remi is such a good boy! he just needs a lot more attention than I can give him. He’s a Big lover boy 🩷. He came to my back door in a rain storm scared & wet. I reported him missing & contacted the owner on his chip. 8 months went by…. I think he was abandoned. We put him in my name. He is very well potty trained & will tell you when he needs to go outside. he doesnt really bark at all, he would be the perfect mans companion or hunting buddy! The day before we found him, I found out I was pregnant, we tried to give him everything even tho he wasnt our responsibility, he needs a yard that I dont have. Fenced yard. He loves car rides and he just sits.

Story
Meet Lego Brick! This handsome fella is looking for a home where he would fit right in! Lego Brick is a major love bug, but he is not always aware of how large he is! He would benefit from a home where he can be trained and learn some basic manners. He loves to play, cuddle, and give hugs once he is comfortable with you! Lego Brick can be nervous when meeting new people and new dogs, so he will need slow introductions with both, and will need to meet any potential dog siblings before going home. If you are looking to expand your family, this pooch might be the perfect addition!Lego Brick is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Please email adoptions@hshv.org or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!

Story
Meet Bear – The Gentle Giant With a Heart of GoldAt 3 years old and 106 pounds of pure love, Bear is everything you’d hope for in a Labrador: affectionate, loyal, and endlessly kind. This big guy was found wandering with another one of our residents and has been melting hearts since the moment he arrived. Once his cone comes off, he can’t wait to reunite with his buddy for some well-deserved playtime!Bear may be new to the shelter, but he’s already made quite an impression. He adores people and will happily press himself against you just to soak up every bit of affection he can get. True to his “gentle giant” nickname, he’s calm, polite, and not a big jumper — he simply wants to be near someone who loves him back.Like any young Lab, Bear will continue to benefit from consistency and guidance, but his solid manners and easygoing nature make him an absolute joy to be around. Every day, he wins us over a little more, and we can’t help but think about how lucky his future family will be.If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will greet you with soft eyes, a wagging tail, and endless devotion, Bear is ready to fill that role and your heart. If you would like to meet Bear, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly flea & tick prevention.Bear is currently heartworm positive, and will be starting treatment soon. FMAR covers the full cost of heartworm treatment and works with Home Care Veterinary Services for the treatment. You`re still encouraged to apply to adopt Bear! We`ll work closely with you to ensure his treatment continues smoothly and he gets everything he needs to thrive in his new home. His treatment after adoption would continue through HCVS until successfully completed. His adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care he has received.**Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your applic

Story
Meet Mystic! Mystic is a sweet and playful 10–12 week old female Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to bring some puppy magic into your life! She’s a typical happy pup — full of energy, curiosity, and love. Mystic enjoys meeting new people and makes friends easily wherever she goes. She’s crate trained and working hard on her house training — such a smart girl! In her foster home, Mystic has already started learning some basic commands like sit, come, and off. She’s eager to please and picks up new things quickly, especially when treats are involved! Mystic lives with other dogs and gets along great with all of them. She loves to run and chase the ball, so a fully fenced yard would be required for her playful energy and zoomies. She has not lived with children or cats, so we are unsure how she would do around them. Overall, Mystic is a well-rounded puppy with a bright future ahead. She’ll make a wonderful addition to a family ready to keep up with her puppy adventures and continue her training journey! Mystic is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations microchipped and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. If interested in Mystic, please follow the link below for her adoption application. Note: applicants must live within one hour of Toledo, Ohio http://www.dogworksohio.com/adoption-application.html
