Carter is a handsome black lab mix who is full of life. He loves attention and taking walks. He is doing very well with his gentle leader training. He came to us as an abandoned dog with a large growth hanging from his side. That was removed and found to be a cyst. He has a large scar because of it. He is a happy guy who is food motivated. I HAVE VIDEOS! Our chocolate lab Ricky was found wandering the street on a snowy winter night, trailed by a tether that had kept him outside in place 24/7. Taken in by a neighbor, he spent several days fostered in a loving home while the rescuer gained the owner’s permission to rehome him. Once FOCCAS had space, this playful two-year-old was on his way to a bright future. Ricky is a high-energy, kid-loving, dog-loving, toy-loving, healthy character who is neutered and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and a joyful companion who will take on any adventure invitation, including “balloon volleyball”! This canine clown was great fun in the photo studio for his “glamour shoot” and appearance in the 2027 FOCCAS calendar! He does like to decide the direction for leashed walks but is a fast learner and will become your best hiking friend in no time.
