Story
Meet Daffodil! At 2 years old, this sweet Lab mix has a lot of love to give, and she’s not shy about showing it! Daffodil is a treat-loving girl who is eager to engage with her people. She knows “sit” and is still working on consistently following through on her cues. And sometimes, when she’s asked to sit, she has a different idea: jumping up for a big ol’ hug and resting her head sweetly against your chest. While we’ll want to help Daffodil learn that all four paws belong on the floor, it’s pretty hard not to smile when it`s clear this affectionate girl just wants to be close to you.Daffodil can be energetic and playful, too. She enjoys sniffing and exploring outside, and once she gets comfortable, she may even break into some zoomies! She’ll need an adopter who can give her the patience, consistency and positive guidance she needs as she continues learning. She has also met small children and did great! Have children at home? Bring them to meet this sweet girl.If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate girl who is ready to learn and has plenty of love to give, come meet Daffodil!

Story
Douglas is a 6-year-old, 88-pound Labrador Retriever who could really use a home where he can relax and enjoy life outside the shelter. This sweet, sensitive guy was initially hesitant and easily startled by quick movements and unexpected touches, but he has become noticeably more comfortable with time. Douglas now approaches with a soft gaze and happy wag, enjoys affection, greets new people nicely, and has even shown a playful side with a little play bow! He walks primarily on a loose leash, loves taking his time to sniff and explore, and checks in with his handler along the way. During one walk, another dog passed Douglas and he showed no interest or reaction, simply continuing on with his outing. Douglas is a gentle soul who just needs a quieter place to settle in and let more of his personality shine. If you have room for a big, sweet Lab who enjoys leisurely walks, affection, and plenty of sniffing adventures, please consider giving Douglas the home he deserves!

Story
Dr. Bones, MD (A091554) is a 4-year-old neutered male Labrador Retriever mix who is ready to trade shelter life for the comfort of a loving home. This handsome guy has shown us that once he is out of his kennel, he enjoys leisurely walks, sniffing and exploring, and walks nicely on a loose leash. He takes treats gently, knows “sit,” enjoys ear scratches, and has even shown a playful side—playing with toys, bringing them back, and inviting staff to tug with him.Dr. Bones can be a little unsure in the shelter environment and would benefit from a home where he can decompress and let more of his personality shine. While walking through the kennel area, he has passed several dogs without trying to approach them and has simply ignored them; however, the notes provided do not include a direct dog-to-dog introduction, so any resident-dog match should be handled thoughtfully. Could you write the prescription Dr. Bones needs most—a furever home? If you have room for this sweet “doctor,” please reach out to the ARC!

Story
Leroy is a fun loving retriever. He loves cuddling up next to you and he loves to play fetch, especially with sticks. He spends most of his time lounging around in the sun. He does well with other dogs as he goes to the dog park on occasion. He is house and crate trained. The decision to rehome him is of no fault of his own. I am preparing to move and go to dental school and I want to ensure that he has the care and love needed while I am busy with this new chapter. He is truly the best boy a guy could ask for and I know he will make some family very happy.
