Story
Meet Blitz! I was found abandoned in the woods by a wonderful group of Cub Scouts who took me in when I was scared and hungry. Now that I'm healthy and full of love, I'm ready to find my forever home!  I’m an affectionate, cuddly pup who adores spending time with my humans—especially if it means lap time and belly rubs! I love playing with all kinds of toys, especially tennis balls and stuffed animals. I’m good with other dogs and enjoy lounging in the yard on sunny days.  I know my basic commands like sit, stay, and come, and I’m potty trained. While I might be a bit shy around new people, once I get to know you, I’ll be your most loyal companion. My foster mom says I’m a “Heinz 57” dog, meaning I’m a little bit of everything!  I’m up-to-date on my shots and neutered, ready to join a loving family. Story
This young boy almost 9 months young, about 40lbs, is fully vetted (neutered and vaccinated), and hw negative. We believe LOKI is best described as a Snuggle buddy or lap boy, Sweet, Silly, Playful, Loving, and Happy Go Lucky boy ;-) LOKI is house trained and crate trained (he will initially object with a few barks or an alligator roll to tell you he prefers to be with you….but does fine once inside the crate). He is a SMART boy and loves the attention, treats & rewards from his training. Foster family stated he will respond to: Sit, Lay down…. They are working on Wait/Stay LOKI is learning to walk on leash; the shorter the leash the better for now. At his foster home, he doesn’t show any signs of prey drive and does very little barking. LOKI is now a graduate of "beginners" class from Petsmart training. LOKI is not a door dasher because ….. COMPANIONSHIP: Human or canine is his priority and love in life; he loves to interact and stay with both. He is still learning to manage his “puppy behavior” as he gets very excited when released from his crate. Ignoring him is the best practice till he settles; then always reward his calm demeanor. It’s that love for companionship that excites him everytime and TOYS (no stuffed ones) are a favorite activity as well. LOKI is very well socialized; however, like many young dogs HE can be a little annoying with his energy (playfulness) so exercise or playtime is crucial for this young boy. He has no fear or aggression with other dogs (his foster home has dogs larger than him, male and female)…. Seems to prefer females (maybe it reminds him of his mother). LOKI does take correction from other dogs and humans very well. OH... and he has shown us he LOVES THE WATER !!! ADOPTION application is located on the ADOPTME page at Dream4pets.org A fenced yard is required for our young adoptable friend, and we recommend children over the age of 12 for a dog this young. LOKI is currently located in foster care with DREAM pet rescue, in Miami County, OH Adoptions are usually within 120miles of Miami County.
