Story
She’s seven years old, but don't let that fool you, this girl has the heart and energy of a puppy with the loyalty of a dog who has lived a full life of loving hard. This Pitbull/Black Lab mix is a force of nature wrapped in a wiggly, water-loving, cuddle-seeking package. She is the definition of devoted. Once you earn her trust, you have a ride-or-die companion who will be at your side through every season, literally. She lives for a romp in the snow, a splash in any body of water she can find, and a long play session followed by the world's most enthusiastic cuddle. She knows her basic commands (sit, stay, place, lay down, and paw), loves her chew toys. She is a big personality in a big body, and she does not always remember that second part. She pulls on the leash, so a patient adopter willing to work with her on loose-leash manners will help her shine. She is also vocal and protective, which makes her a wonderful watchdog but means she needs a home that understands she will have

Story
Meet Kassie — tall, sleek, sweet, and the best mix of play and cuddles. Kassie is a 1 year, 11 month old, ~60 lb leggy lady who looks like a sighthound–Pointer–maybe-Greyhound remix, built for speed and powered by curiosity. She’s had a rough start, bouncing in and out of the shelter, but once she landed in foster care it became clear: this girl didn’t need a label — she needed structure, patience, and someone to believe in her. And wow, has she been rising to the occasion.Kassie is:💖 Very sweet and affectionate🏠 Learning the ropes of house life 💤 A crate superstar who tucks herself in at bedtime like a polite little goblin🎓 Already knows Sit and Come and responds to a whistle like a champ❄️ Shockingly obsessed with snow despite her short coat🐕 A big fan of fence-line zoomies with the neighbor dogShe’s still learning leash manners (she had opinions at first), but with the help of a Halti collar, walks are getting calmer and more focused every day. Kassie is smart, eager, and very capable — she just needs someone committed to continuing her training and helping her feel secure. Now, full disclosure from Kassie’s management team: she has a strong prey drive. Cats who calmly mind their business are usually fine, but cats who run? Kassie’s brain says, “CHASE MODE: ACTIVATED.” She has made progress with guidance and supervision, but she may do best in a cat-savvy, experienced home or one without small critters. Kassie does great with other dogs. Kassie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested, so she’s ready to start the next (and best) chapter of her life. Her adoption fee is $285.If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, athletic girl who’s learning how to be the very best version of herself — Kassie might just be your perfect match. 💕🐾 All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Meet Kolbi! She was adopted last June but is returning due to no fault of her own. Kolbi is looking for her forever home in an environment she can thrive in! Kolbi is a loving, loyal dog with so much affection to give and thrives in the right environment. She is wonderful with children and a great companion. Kolbi is very affectionate, loves to snuggle, and enjoys being close to her people. She is food and treat motivated, which makes her fairly obedient and eager to please. She also loves her toys and enjoys playtime just as much as cuddle time. Kolbi can be a little nervous around men and takes time to build trust, so she does best with patience, consistency, and a calm environment. Kolbi is not a big fan of other female dogs and would likely do best as the only dog or possibly with the right male dog after careful introduction. She also does not do well around chickens or ducks, so a home without poultry would be best. She would thrive with someone who understands her boundaries, will give her time to feel safe, and wants a loyal, loving companion. Kolbi is a sweet dog who deserves the perfect fit and a family that will make her feel safe and loved. Story
We are looking for a new home for our black lab, Bear. Bear is nearly one and a half and has a whole lot of energy! He is fixed and is up to date on all vaccinations. Bear is definitely still in his puppy stage, but is crate trained and potty trained. Looking for someone that is able to give him the attention he deserves. We took him in from a family member and unfortunately, we cannot keep him due to our son being scared of dogs. Bear is great with kids, but would strive in a home with older kids or no kids due to the amount of energy he has. Bear is such a great dog and listens well…we just hope to find him a loving home.

Story
We adopted Charley back in September 2022 through Paw Patrol. He’s around 10-12 years old now, which he was a rescue from Kentucky and brought to Dayton. Charley has boundless needs for affection, and needs a home with never ending snuggles and a comfy couch! He is a vocal fellow when you egg him on to sing with you, and an excellent companion in the back seat of a car. He enjoys running in a big open yard with plenty of space, but mainly lounges on a comfy cushion. He responds well to other household animals (cats and dogs), but gets very excited and vocal around new faces. If you’re looking for a sitting buddy through his senior years, Charley is the dog for you!

Story
Happy is a sweet, sensitive dog with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for love. He may take a little time to warm up to new people and other animals, but once he feels safe, his gentle, affectionate personality really shines. Happy thrives in an environment where he can stretch his legs, explore, and just be himself. A home with space to run or a yard to play in would be the perfect fit for this special pup. With patience, understanding, and a calm environment, he’ll reward you with loyalty, companionship, and plenty of tail wags. If you’re looking for a devoted friend who blossoms with a bit of time and care, Happy might be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Whisper 🐾💖 — a gentle soul with the sweetest little heart just waiting to bloom. This lovely pup came to us as a stray and was once terrified of just about everything. But with patience, kindness, and lots of love, Whisper has started learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all ✨🐶 Now, she’s beginning to show her soft and affectionate side by offering tiny face kisses and seeking comfort from the people she trusts 💕 Her favorite things include cozy safe spaces, warm laps, and curling up close when she needs reassurance. Whisper is still building confidence, so she’s looking for a calm and patient home that will continue helping her feel safe and loved. Watching her come out of her shell is incredibly rewarding, and every little step she takes feels extra special 🌸🐾 If you have a gentle heart and a comfy lap to share, Whisper may just be the perfect companion for you 💕
