Meet The Bear pups! If you have seen the show, The Bear, Carmy is the most like her namesake. She is wild and unpredictable. She is definitely the most chompy and doesn't care in the slightest. She has the shortest hair and is the tiniest lady. The Bear pups are typical pups that go wild for food. They play well, but sometimes are rough with each other and desperately want to play with the cat in the home. They enjoy playing with their toys and the big dogs in the home as well. In general The Bear puppies are getting better at being in the kennel but require further crate training. They love to be with people and are snuggle bugs! Like typical puppies they are working on potty training and they are getting better about not going in the kennel. The Bear puppies are not picky with what they chew (drywall, carpet, cords, furniture all included) and need proper training and supervision. All puppies will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. Adoption fee is $360. Please go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt to fill out an application. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Are you an Orville, looking for your Wilbur!? Look no further, my friend. Meet Mr. Wilbur- whom we believe to be around 8 years old and a Lab Retriever.Wilbur is a laid back sort of guy. We would definitely recommend a slow feeder for this hungry boy!Wilbur is a great companion and will make sure to protect you against strangers! Wilbur is not afraid to use his voice. He will absolutely make his new owner feel very protected and safe. If you are ready to take flight and find your next best friend, then come meet Wilbur! You may apply to adopt Wilbur at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Story
Jake is a sweet boy that loves to be with people. Don't worry about leaving him home while you work. He loves his crate and is happy to veg until you get home. He is a friendly dog the likes everyone- just not the scary gurgling water bowl :) He is 7 years old- past the puppy stage but still playful. He has energy for adventures but is happy to snuggle and take a nap. He was adopted by my father in 2017 but his health took a turn shortly after. Jake came to live with us until a family could be found for him. My father has since passed away. In the last 6 months, our cat was diagnosed with diabetes and the other dog tore her ACL requiring lots of rest. It has just become overwhelming for me. He gets along well with our other dog, cats and kids. We have a fence but previously did not and it was no issue. If your idea of a good weekend is watching animal planet, checking out the dog park, stopping for ice cream or howling along with sirens, then Jake is your guy!

Looking for a furry friend with a heart of gold? Meet Blaze, the resilient pup with a story to tell! Blaze may have had a rough start, but his spirit remains unbroken. At the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, Blaze is ready to embark on a new chapter filled with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags. Blaze recently went on a doggy day out and we're told he was awesome with kids, seems to be at least partially potty trained, loves all kinds of treats, and enjoyed hanging out on a local patio around all kinds of new people. He even went nose to nose with their cat and seemed to do pretty well! Toys are Blaze's ultimate joy in life! Whether it's a squeaky plush or a sturdy chew toy, Blaze's eyes light up with excitement at the sight of his favorite playthings. With a toy in tow, this playful pup is always up for a game or a snuggle session. He is also attending START classes through Dayton Dog Training Club where he is learning so many new skills like sit, down, wait, and many more! Let him show you how smart he is! If you're ready to open your heart and home to Blaze, don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application on our website or stop by the shelter to meet him in person. Together, you and Blaze can create new memories filled with love, laughter, and endless tail wags!

Story
Hiya I'm Fievel (Gus Gus) West! And I know that somewhere out there, beneath the pale moonlight, someone's thinking of me, and loving me tonight, and wants to add me to their family! I am an adventure seeking, loving, well behaved 1 year old Lab mix who has got living in a home down pat. I am potty trained, crate trained and leash trained. I Get along well with both my dog and cat foster siblings and absolutely love to play.  Did I mention I love to play with anyone and anything! I have been told I am smart and that I quickly pickup commands like down, wait to go outside, and take it to have a treat. I really hope that we'll find one another and I can have a forever family that will give me all the attention and cuddles that I love! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   May 3, 2024, 3:05 pm

Story
Meet Goliath! Goliath is your typical lab; social, smart and a bit of a goofball. He has never heard the term stranger danger. He loves everyone he meets immediately and assumes they will love him too.  Same holds true for other dogs - loves, loves, loves other dogs. A canine sibling is really high on his wish list for his new forever home, but he would prefer a feline free home (maybe more accurately the cats would prefer a Goliath free home - LOL!) He is very treat motivated so training should be a snap.  He already walks pretty well on leash, rides nicely in the car and is housebroken and crate trained.   This social butterfly would make a great walking or hiking partner, but beware he is going to want to greet everybody he sees.  He's also a great co-worker if you work from home.  He'll happily curl up under the desk (and snore) while you’re on zoom calls.  And at the end of a busy work day he loves nothing more than to curl up on the couch next to his person and watch some TV. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. She loves her foster siblings and does well with inside manners. Zen is crate trained and good with dogs of all sizes. She loves kids as well. Zen walks well on a leash, loves running the backyard and has typical lab energy..she would make a great jogging or hiking buddy.
