Story
Rocky is a phenomenal dog. He is still young and would like a good-sized back yard to play in. He still has a lot of puppy in him so he needs supervision and exercise. He is super smart and would thrive with someone who is able to continue teaching basic manners. He has lots and lots of love to give. He'd be great with other dogs or as a single dog. He does love attention and would like to be someone’s best friend. He is more comfortable with women than men. He can be a little afraid of men due to his past experiences and can be leery of men in general at first. The right person could gain his trust though, so I wouldn't count men out for him. He has been on a farm with his foster and he does well with the animals, except for chasing chickens when he sees them run. He will chase most things that move. He has learned to respond to a GPS collar in a short amount of time. He is very loyal to the person he picks as "his person". All he needs now is a person or people to give him a chance. Age: 10-12 months Weight: 53 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative Temperament: good with respectful kids and other dogs. Training: House trained, crate trained. For questions, please email aimiablepetcare@aol.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.

Story
Darly is an active young senior girl with a pep in her step! Her puppy days may be behind her but she is years away from retirement! She is lower energy but loves to play with squeaky toys, chase balls, roll over for belly rubs, cuddle in your lap and then chill on the couch near you. When asked how she stays so young, she simply replies, "7 is the new 5". Darly has loved every human she has ever met. Darly doesn't live with kids, but she met 2 neighbor girls (ages approx. 6 and 10) and did very well with them. She is dog friendly - she isn't playful with other dogs but happily co-exists. She bonds very quickly with her person and is so appreciative of attention and affection. She will give you looks of adoration and gratefulness like you hung the moon for her that will truly melt your heart! She would do well in a house or an apartment. Her needs are simple - 1 or 2 walks (or backyard time) and another couple of potty breaks, some light play time and some affection/cuddle time and she is good. She is very social and she would love to meet you!! Age: 6years Weight: 47 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm negative Temperament: good with respectful kids and other dogs. Training: House trained, crate trained. Story
Chole is a VERY loving dog. She will cuddle like no dog I’ve seen before. She also loves to use her hands for hugs, handshakes, etc. She needs someone that will be patient with her and her fears. Preferably somewhere in a quiet area with a yard to run in. She will not leave the yard or run away from home if she is off her leash. She would do well in a house with another dog, someone to help her adapt and get over fears. She needs as much love and support as she can get. She was found as a stray and loud sudden noises on a walk, frighten her. She would appreciate a quiet neighborhood or rural area. She handles loud noises so much better if she has a companion canine to help her feel more secure. Here she is playing with her foster sibling: https://youtu.be/qd_pYxsWuuo She is good with other dogs and people but is protective of the home. It is better to meet strangers outside the home first, before they enter the home. She likes to know the people who come in the home and interact with her family. Age: 2.5 years Weight: 60bs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm negative Temperament: good with dogs and would like a dog companion, good with people and strangers outside the home, protective of the home and family. Training: House trained, crate trained, some basic training .
