Story
Sweetie pie Seth is hoping he doesn’t have to wait much longer for his furever home! He’s a 2 1/2-year-old lab mix who has a heart full of love and a goofy personality. Seth was recently brought back to the shelter because he was too much for his owners to handle due to his size (75 pounds) and strength. Seth would absolutely benefit from obedience training to learn leash manners and commands. Seth was heartworm positive when first coming to us, but has been treated and is healthy. Seth is friendly with children ages 10+. He needs to be the only pet in the house. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info to learn more about Seth and schedule a time to come and meet this lovable goofball! UPDATE: Seth is a sweet boy with all people but is very strong and needs training with leash walking and dog aggression. An approved adopter will have the adoption fee returned to them after showing proof of formal training to work on both of these specific needs. If you have questions on Seth's training needs, please call 610-432-2532x2. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Tank is a big ol' chocolate lab who is 5 years old. Tank was surrendered because his family's work schedule didn't allow for his proper care. He weighs 70 lbs. and is very strong. Given Tank's strength, his new owner must be able to handle a dog of his size and strength on a leash. He is still working on leash manners. Tank is friendly and talkative and loves just being around people. He gets along with other dogs but has never been around cats (we can cat test him upon request). He would be okay with older children but gets too rambunctious around small ones. Tank is house-trained and crate-trained. This good boy is ready for a new family to adore. Could that be you? Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info today! Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Meet Stewie! This stocky boy came to PK from another rescue in search of his forever home. Stewie is 1.5 years old and weighs 57 lbs. While he is definitely a mutt, we think he has both Labrador Retriever and Border Collie in him. Stewie is friendly, laid back, and an all-around happy guy! He loves playing with other dogs. Stewie is deceivingly strong, so you’ll need some muscles to handle him! He seems to be potty-trained but will need help learning leash manners. Stewie would do well in a home with other dogs and kids. He can be kitty-tested upon request. Stewie will make a great buddy to whomever adopts him, so get your applications in at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Please welcome Conrad to PK! This stunning boy is around 6 months old and has the most amazing eyes! Conrad is a chocolate labrador retriever and terrier mix. He currently weighs 28 lbs., so we think he’ll be medium sized once full grown. Conrad was transferred to PK from another rescue and is all ready to move on to his forever home! This little boy is full of energy so be ready for lots of activity! He loves, loves, loves to play with his doggie friends. He’s friendly and outgoing. Conrad is still working on potty-training and learning how to walk well on a leash. He’ll need a family that is willing to teach him good-boy manners. Conrad would be great in a home with other dogs and kids, too. We can test him to see how he does with kitty friends, if requested. Visit lvpeaceablekingdom.info to apply to adopt Conrad. Story
My name is Dasher and I’m 1 year and 6 months old. My birthday is in September. I’m a super sweet and affectionate boy who loves cuddles and attention. I love to give kisses and play with toys. I am good with kids from newborn and up. I know how to sit, stay, bring you my toy and fetch, lay, give you my paw, and I’m still learning! I have the sweetest eyes and the most handsome face. I would love to be with you and follow you around. My favorite thing in the world is snow (besides treats) and playing in it. I’m potty and crate trained. I’m a really good boy and have so much potential to learn more. I’m a little shy at first but warm up to you quickly after spending some time with you. I have so much love to give and hope to find my forever home.

Story
If you would like to apply to take Hope home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. HOPE is a sweet, gentle soul. She started out with a hard life. She came to us with three day old puppies but in need of vet care herself. Her babies were sent to a bottle-feeding foster but Hope became depressed while at the vets office. Once she was finally in her foster home, she took a little while to decompress and give her trust. Once she is in a routine and knows her people, she’s such a happy dog. She loves all other dogs very much… friendly but submissive. Young to old, shy to playful, she’d do very well in a multi-dog household. She absolutely loves to be outside whether basking in the sun or chasing chipmunks. Hope is very shy around new people and while she will settle in, she needs a patient, gentle, encouraging human to spend her life with. She’s a very special dog who does not need walks in the park, car rides, or hikes through the woods… but a quiet, routine life. As you can see in the picture hope does have a disabled leg, she manages very well with it and it doesn’t cause her any pain so under the advice of the vet we opted not to remove it, it just requires being kept clean. There’s someone out there waiting, just for her… is it you?

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. HELEN was saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. HELEN is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of May 2023 and at the time of transport weighed around  34 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue     YouTube channel     and     photo albums on our Facebook page     to see a LOT of pictures and videos. HELEN is a sweet, affectionate, loving girl, who is full of that teenage energy. She is somewhat shy when she first meets people, or is in a new environment, but she is very gentle and will just go and hang out in a distance watching until she feels more confident. She has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving. She is always wiggling her bum, which in-turn wiggles her whole body and she is definitely a favourite with volunteers and everyone that meets her. She came on our December outing to Bissell Brothers and was great on the leash, on the bus and around people. She is looking for an active family who can give her the lifestyle that she needs to lead a happy, healthy life.  We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. HELEN is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption  fee of $250. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
Rocky & his running buddy, were left on the streets to fend for themselves. They had been wandering around that neighborhood for a while and befriended a kind business owner who made sure they did not go hungry. Thanks to that Good Samaritan who gained their trust, they were taken in & have been in foster care since. He has gained 20 pounds since then and is doing great! He is approx 3 years old & is fully vetted. As you can see in the video, he is a loving playful pup. Rocky is a completely gorgeous guy, both inside and out! He is full of love and is always in a carefree good mood. His furever family is going to be lucky beyond belief. If you are interested in learning more about this really sweet and deserving boy, please feel free to text or call Alecia Clark, @ 901-486-2850. We are a rescue organization located with our dogs in Tennessee and have weekly transport available for our pups to relocate up north with their new forever families. His adoption fee of $275 includes his vaccinations, neuter, microchip and his transport to his new furever home. Since a meet and greet is not possible prior to adoption, our adopters make their decision to adopt based on pictures, videos and talking to the foster parent. We will do everything possible to make sure he is the perfect match for you and your family & will be with you every step of the way.
