Story
Welcome Bowie to Peaceable Kingdom! This little rocker is a 3-month-old male puppy who transferred from another rescue. We believe Bowie is a lab/terrier mix and will be medium- to large-sized when he is full grown. Bowie is your typical puppy. He is full of energy, loves human attention, and can’t get enough food! As a puppy, Bowie still has a lot to learn, like housetraining and leash-walking, so his new parents will need to be committed to raising a good doggy citizen. Bowing would be fine in a home with dogs, cats, and children. Apply for Bowie at lvpeaceablekingdom.info! Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Sweetie pie Seth is hoping he doesn’t have to wait much longer for his furever home! He’s a 2 1/2-year-old lab mix who has a heart full of love and a goofy personality. Seth was recently brought back to the shelter because he was too much for his owners to handle due to his size (75 pounds) and strength. Seth would absolutely benefit from obedience training to learn leash manners and commands. Seth was heartworm positive when first coming to us, but has been treated and is healthy. Seth is friendly with children ages 10+. He needs to be the only pet in the house. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info to learn more about Seth and schedule a time to come and meet this lovable goofball! UPDATE: Seth is a sweet boy with all people but is very strong and needs training with leash walking and dog aggression. An approved adopter will have the adoption fee returned to them after showing proof of formal training to work on both of these specific needs. If you have questions on Seth's training needs, please call 610-432-2532x2. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
Ginger's foster mom wrote to tell us what an amazing dog she is. This is her experience with Ginger. She loves everyone and everything. She loves to curl up and cuddle (she thinks she's a lap dog) and she is the snuggliest pup I have ever met! During the day, she is so relaxed while I do my work, she just curls up next to me or goes to sleep on her bed - just super go with the flow. She's a major velcro dog, and yet does not seem to struggle with separation anxiety. I have been practicing crate training and leaving her alone for short periods of time throughout the day and she does an amazing job, no barking, crying, or destructive behaviors. She was a bit difficult on the leash when I first got her, as she had never been on leash, but I started using a gentle leader harness and it has made a WORLD of a difference and she is super easy on the leash now. We are working on "heel" on the leash but with the gentle leader she barely needs the reminder to heel. However, she would only pull out of excitement since she just wants to say hi to every human and dog we walk past! The world needs to know how amazing of a dog she is! She is just a wonderful, sweet, silly dog who makes the best companion. Age: 2 years. WT: 51lbs. Temperament: Good with all people and dogs. Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative Training: House trained, crate trained, knows commands, Sit-stay-shake-down For questions, please email loramyers51@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.

Story
Meet Mavi, a sleek young speedster who's ready to zoom off with your heart. She'd be the perfect partner for your hikes or jogs, and she's a social butterfly, so other doggies on the trail are welcome too! She's no slouch in the brains department either and catches on quick. Just wave a treat and watch her sit like a pro. She's totally house-trained, so no accidents to worry about. She's crated during the day and spends her nights on a cozy futon. Mavi is a sweet gentle soul, making friends with every pooch she meets. Although she has a playful nature, she might be too much for dogs who aren't interested in chase. Mavi is a people pleaser and loves everyone in the family. She's a car fanatic, eager to hop in and gazing out the windows. And, once the excitement is over, she'll take a nap in the back seat. They don't get anymore fun or mannerly than Miss Mavi! Age: 2 years old Weight: 45lb Temperament: Good with dogs but not cats, and older sturdier kids due to her energy Training: Crate-trained, house trained and knows commands Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative For questions, please email: aimiablepetcare@aol.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Sofine is a handsome, low-energy, fellow who gets along with both dogs and cats. He is in a loving foster home with six other dogs and countless cats. He is the dog version of a crazy-cat-lady (see video of Sofine with cats). His favorite activities include spending time outside for hours at a time sniffing, trotting, and exploring in the fenced-in yard and then coming back in to curl up and sleep on the couch. Sofine is a shy guy and takes time to warm up to people, but he is a lovebug once he gets to know you. We have noticed he prefers females over males. We are not sure how he will be with kids as he hasn’t had much exposure with them. Since Sofine lives with six other male dogs, he is learning not to mark inside the house. He has made tons of progress in this area and it’s very much possible he only does this because of all the male dog energy in his foster home. He wears a “belly band” comfortably while inside for extra prevention. Sofine is very treat and food motivated, so additional training should be a breeze. He is leash trained and great on walks (see video of Sofine on a walk with other dogs). He is overall an independent dog who doesn’t ask for much. If you are looking for a chill adaptable dog who also gets along with cats and dogs, then Sofine will be the perfect fit for your home. Sofine is hoping for a new name and a home to call his own! Story
Chole is a VERY loving dog. She will cuddle like no dog I’ve seen before. She also loves to use her hands for hugs, handshakes, etc. She needs someone that will be patient with her and her fears. Preferably somewhere in a quiet area with a yard to run in. She will not leave the yard or run away from home if she is off her leash. She would do well in a house with another dog, someone to help her adapt and get over fears. She needs as much love and support as she can get. She was found as a stray and loud sudden noises on a walk, frighten her. She would appreciate a quiet neighborhood or rural area. She handles loud noises so much better if she has a companion canine to help her feel more secure. Here she is playing with her foster sibling: https://youtu.be/qd_pYxsWuuo She is good with other dogs and people but is protective of the home. It is better to meet strangers outside the home first, before they enter the home. She likes to know the people who come in the home and interact with her family. Age: 2.5 years Weight: 60bs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm negative Temperament: good with dogs and would like a dog companion, good with people and strangers outside the home, protective of the home and family. Training: House trained, crate trained, some basic training . Story
Lucy is a very special dog. She is 2 and sweet and affectionate and sensitive. She loves so deeply and needs a home with someone who will adore her for the wonderful dog she is. I adopted Lucy to become my service dog. She was staying with a trainer in Wisconsin when I adopted her, but my health took a turn for the worse and continuing her training has become too difficult for me while I'm struggling. I believe she would really enjoy living in a quiet neighborhood with a yard if possible. She is good with dogs when introduced calmly. She has a bit of separation anxiety sometimes, but she is so loving and lovable and just deserves a home that is experienced with dogs and can help continue her training whether it is related to service dog work or not. So far she already knows deep pressure therapy and many other smaller skills. Lucy is such a sweetheart and I just hope to find her a long term home that is a better fit for her. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested.
