Excellent family dog Sadie is a wonderful girl, She is a little grey around the muzzle, but she acts like a two-year-old.  She loves to play and run around.  She is amazing with kids and would love an active family that she can hang out with.  She loves to snuggle,  and she can be left alone uncrated.  She is completely non-destructive. Age: 8 years. Weight: 60lbs Training; House and crate trained. knows basic commands Temperament: Gets along with dogs (we recommend no tiny dogs, she may step on them), kids and all adults, . Story
Please contact Marta (ultramarta@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Hazel's journey to find her forever home has been one of resilience and love. This beautiful girl had a tragic start when, at just a few weeks old, she and her siblings became part of a court case in which their owners were charged with severe abuse and neglect. In April 2023, Hazel and two of her siblings came into my care as foster babies. Since then, she has blossomed in a happy and safe environment, surrounded by her brother and sister. Hazel is 2 years old, weighs approximately 50 pounds and has been spayed. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She is crate trained & housebroken.  Hazel is an obedient girl and she knows basic commands such as Sit, Wait, Treat, Walk and Get In. She sleeps 8 hours a night in her crate and never makes a peep. She plays well with her canine siblings and other dogs she knows.  She has medium energy, walks well on a leash and loves to take walks around the neighborhood. Hazel loves people that she knows, but she needs time to warm up to new people. She is a timid girl and likes to take things slowly. She is food motivated which makes her easier to train. She loves to chase squirrels, so a watchful eye is needed. She has never been tested with cats. She would love a fenced backyard because she loves to run and play with the ball. If she runs in the yard for 10-15 mins then she’ll curl up and sleep.  If she doesn’t have a yard, she would do fine with a couple 1.5-2 mile walks per day with additional pee breaks throughout the day. Hazel would thrive as an only dog or with a compatible canine companion.  Her main need is for loving people.  She loves to sit close to you while you’re working or watching TV. Hazel has shown incredible strength despite her difficult beginnings. She deserves a forever home where she can continue to thrive and bring joy and love to a new person or family.July 11, 2025, 4:36 pm

Story
She’s great in the house! If the family isn’t home she would need to be crated so the better scenario would be someone who doesn’t work away from the home very long. She doesn’t like to be alone. The last home was an elderly lady who was always there. She’s the sweetest girl you could ask for! Age: 5 years Weight: 48 lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, and  kids, even small kids Training: Housetrained,  crate-trained, knows commands Sit and Stay Vetting: spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions:     loramyers51@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Little Athena is a black beauty with velvety soft fur and perky ears. She could be a lab/shepherd mix, is 3 years old and around 50 lbs. When Little Athena arrived at the county shelter, she was in heartbreaking shape—likely used for breeding and then discarded. Scared and shut down, she curled up in her kennel, overwhelmed and unsure. She ended up on the euthanasia list—but fate had other plans. A kind foster stepped in just in time, and Little Athena's journey of healing began. Fast forward six months, and Little Athena has blossomed in her foster home. She's still a little shy with new people, but once she feels safe, her gentle, affectionate nature shines. She lives with another dog and absolutely loves playing and roughhousing—her playful side is irresistible! Little Athena would likely thrive in a home with another dog to show her the ropes and share the fun. She’s come a long way, but her journey isn’t over yet. Little Athena is looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to grow in confidence and trust. With love and support, she will keep gaining confidence and be someone’s (yours?) loving and loyal companion. Age: 3 years Weight: 50lbs Temperament: Gets along with dogs, older kids (no experience with toddlers)  Training: Housetrained, knows the command Sit Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions:     sonali@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
