Story
Meet Bob, a 1-year-old petite Labrador Retriever, shepherd, and Blue Heeler mix who weighs 30 lbs. Bob did not receive much socialization in his first year of life and is very scared in new situations. However, he’s spent the last 2 months in a foster home and has made great progress towards trust-building. Bob loves other dogs and is very submissive with them. He adores playtime in the yard and gets zoomies every time! Inside, he busies himself with plush toys, PB Kongs, and bone-chewing. Bob knows outside is for potty and sleeps well in his crate at night. During the day, he is outside of the crate when someone is home and can even be trusted outside the crate for short periods alone. Bob has his hiding places where he retreats when scared. However, he is always gentle when scared—never aggressive. Given his fears, Bob is an extremely high flight risk and must be with a family who can ensure secure surroundings (e.g., fenced yard, closed gates, no open doors, etc.). Bob would benefit from living with and learning from another confident dog. He would be fine with responsible, older children who will respect his needs as he settles into his new home. He can be cat-tested upon request. In general Bob is such a well behaved and goofy boy. He is super smart and attentive! His personality is coming out more and more each day but still requires a lot of patience. Can you provide Bob a loving, supportive home? Apply for Bob at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Neegan is such a good boy! After living in the same home for 11 years, this poor boy landed at PK in search of a new home because sadly his owner passed away. Neegan is an 11-year-old, lanky Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 58 lbs. Neegan is a really nice dog! He is quiet in his kennel and walks well on a leash. Although he purportedly is afraid of loud noises like fireworks, he is otherwise calm and at ease in the shelter. Neegan gets along with other dogs and can be cat-tested if requested. He would be fine in a home with respectful children. And don’t let Neegan’s age deter you from looking at him—he is very energetic! He’ll happily go on an adventure with you but will also be content chilling in front of the TV. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Tatum came to us terrified and very pregnant!  Delivering 8 puppies and only being a puppy herself (11mos old) we really don't know the real Tatum just yet!  What we do know is that she was very terrified when coming to us.  She opened up well with her foster mom and the family's current dogs.  She enjoys snuggling and being outside.  Her babies are almost 8 weeks old, and so we begin to look for a furever home for Tatum where she can blossom and be a pup.   She is on the timid side initially, so will need a patient family that will allow her to take her time to warm up in new situations. Tatum is a little over 1 year old and about 30lbs.  Said to be lab/heeler mix.  Ruff Life Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc. PO Box 12, Breinigsville, PA 18031 License # 17899July 25, 2024, 6:58 pm
