Story
2.5 years old Spayed female Loving and sweet once comfortable Would love a canine companion Has done well with cats and children Knows sit, give paw, stop Appears to be housetrained I’m a sweet, good-natured, and loving girl who always has a smile on my face. I love to rock my cozy PJs when it’s chilly outside and I’m all about playing with my pup friends! I’ve lived with a cat before and was playful with them, and I did great with visiting children too. I know a few tricks like sit, give paw, and stop, and I appear to be potty trained. I walk well on a leash, though I might get a little excited when passing cars or animals. I can be a little shy at first, but I’m a social girl who thrives with other dogs and would love a canine companion in my new home. I have been waiting a while to find my home so my adopter can name their own adoption fee when they take me home! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 12, 2024, 1:13 pm

1.5 years old (estimated) Spayed female Currently 53 lbs. Smart and affectionate Has done well with other dogs No known experience with cats or children Knows down, sit, and paw Appears housetrained I’m a smart girl who already knows down, sit, and paw, and I appear to be potty trained too! I believe I’m the perfect lap dog—I love to lay on your lap, roll around, and shower you with kisses! I’m also quite speedy and love to run and go on walks. I’ve done well with the other dogs I’ve met, and I’m ready to find a home where I can share my love, energy, and cuddles! Story
Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Meet Jack, a dog taken in by a veterinarian Purchased from a breed who was not reputable or operating with care, this sweet boy needed more. He is just over a year old. He is a neutered male, current on vaccinations, HWT and HW and F/T prevention. He weighs 40#. It is very important that his new home have another dog. One that is confident and well-trained, active and a bit assertive would be perfect. It is important for the new owners to know that Jack comes with some emotional baggage and will need time and patience, and he may never be a socially "normal" dog. He can be very reserved around new (and sometimes old) people. He truly has made amazing strides since we've fostered him, and I think in the right hands, he will continue to become more confident and will thrive in the right home. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
