Good with cats,
Story
Hey there, I'm Shelby, the Maine Coon mix with a personality as big as my fluffy tail! At 6 months old, I'm still just a kitten, but don't let my size fool you - I've got energy to spare and a whole lot of love to give. I love to goof around and make my foster mom laugh with my silly antics. Whether I'm chasing my tail or doing my best acrobatics to catch a feather toy, I'm always the life of the party! But don't let my playful nature fool you - I've got a soft side too. The moment you scoop me up in your arms, I turn into a purring machine! There's nothing I love more than cuddling up close and feeling the warmth of your touch. I'll admit, I can be a bit shy when we first meet. But once I come out of my shell, I'm all in! I'll be following you around, begging for pets and attention like it's my job. And speaking of jobs, I take my role as Willow's bestie very seriously! We're like two peas in a pod, always on the lookout for our next adventure. Whether we're chasing each other around the house or teaming up to take down a wand toy, we're unstoppable together! So, if you're looking for a funny, energetic, and downright adorable kitty to join your family, look no further! I'm ready and waiting to bring a whole lot of love and laughter into your home. Let's make some memories together that'll last a lifetime! Feline Leukemia is a cat-only virus that is only transmitted to others by prolonged direct contact not casual.  Kittens can live 5-7 years, adults can live a normal life.  Vet bills are not the norm because when they deteriorate it is usually the end of life.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Plea for help from Jonathan: “My friend and I took in several feral cats a while ago. Most are now socialized and many are bonded pairs/families. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. We are looking for good homes for them.   We are located in Clinton, MD (southern PG County). The best method of reaching us is: zcathouse.md@gmail.com”   Mushmellow [a.k.a. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well. Scout, on the other hand, likes to make sure he knows where his 'brother' is most of the time.   Disclaimer: AAHA provides complimentary listings for members of the community who wish to rehome their pet, as well as for other shelters/ rescues to assist them in finding Furever homes. Story
Meet Flower! This super sweet Maine Coon mix is about 3 years old. She was found while trapping at a feral colony in West Virginia (hence the ear tip), but it became apparent very quickly this little lovebug was never meant to be a feral cat. This girl obviously had a very hard life, as evidenced by her numerous medical issues upon intake, but has been treated and pampered and is now on her way from street life to sweet life. Flower is extremely affectionate and loves pets and cuddles. She gets along well with other cats and calm dogs. She’s inquisitive, outgoing and loves to play with her toys. Her litter habits are impeccable and she is the perfect little house guest. She would do fine with well behaved children, especially if they’re willing to pet and play with her. A few things to point out about Flower. She was born with one eyeball underdeveloped, which severely limits her vision in that eye. But her other eye works fine so it doesn’t matter much to her. She is also FeLV positive, which means she can not live with a non-FeLV cat. If you’d like more information on FeLV, please reach out to us at FureverHomeMD@gmail.com.
