Story
- 8 years old (adopted as a young adult in 2017) - neutered male - LARGE! a healthy 16 lbs - No known medical issues. Currently in good health including excellent teeth. Up to date on shots, regular vet check ups - Indoor only since 2017 - Reason for rehoming: Family member has developed cat allergies - Special needs: no other pets (some dogs might be ok but definitely no other cats) Personality: Rocky has been a beloved member of our family for 7 years. He is a big, bold cat! He is social in that he likes to lounge near his people. He is not cuddly and is easily overstimulated by too much petting, although he does like chin and neck scratches. He also loves to play with cat toys including fetch. Rocky is fearful (hissing, swatting) around other cats, the veterinarian, sometimes when traveling, and in new spaces. His new owners will need to be patient and give him plenty of space as he settles in. Once he does, you will have a curious and lively shadow for life!

Story
Hello, I'm April Rockbridge. I may be a little shy at first, but I promise I'm just as sweet as they come. I'm a gentle soul, preferring quiet moments and soft whispers. I'm quite independent, but don't mistake that for aloofness. I'm just smart enough to know when to give you your space. But when you're ready, I'll be there, purring and ready for a cuddle. I adore being brushed, it's our special bonding time. I'm mellow, preferring to watch the world go by from my cozy corner. But don't be fooled, I'm also playful when the mood strikes. My dream is to find a forever home where I can be my sweet, gentle, mellow self. Adopt me, and I promise to fill your life with soft purrs and gentle cuddles. April's estimated birthdate is October 2020. She is spayed, current on vaccines, tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped.

PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion. ##2253603##

Story
Missy (f) is a beautiful Maine Coon mix who found herself living alone and in need of a new person to love when her senior, human dad passed away. She will take a minute to warm up to you but will quickly become your best friend. Missy is 5 years old and the perfect age if you are looking for a kitty who is playful but not high energy. She is talkative but not excessively. Missy also has perfect potty manners. Our gorgeous fluffy lady has lots of love to give to the lucky person or family who adopters her. We think Missy would do best in a quiet home as an only fur companion. ##2357057##

Story
We adopted Bear five years ago and she quickly adapted to our crazy household with three kids and two dogs. She is a "snuffler" and was taken off the streets a few years back after recurrent upper respiratory infections which cause her to be sneezy. She has no lingering effects of her past infections and has gotten a clean bill of health each time she goes to the vet! She's just a bit... snuffly. Our family is moving and can't take Bear with us, and while it's sad to lose a member of our family, we hope she'll complete another family in the same way she completed ours. Bear can be a bit sassy, a LOT snuggly, and never misses a meal. We know she'll choose a good family (because they choose us, right?)
