Meet Jewel 💎 Jewel is an adult female Maltese, estimated to be around 6–9 years old, currently being fostered in Fort Collins and looking for a patient, loving home. She can be shy and a bit skittish at first, and will need someone willing to go slow and allow her time to feel safe. We don’t know much about her past, but it’s clear she likely wasn’t well socialized. The good news is she continues to make progress every day and grows more confident with gentle consistency and kindness. Jewel is doggy door trained and does well when taken out regularly for potty breaks. She is improving with crate training and is learning that her kennel can be a safe, cozy place to relax. With routine and structure, she continues to blossom. She would do best in a calm home with someone who understands that trust takes time. Once she feels secure, she forms a very sweet bond with her person. Jewel is being fostered with a professional trainer who specializes in helping shy or unsocialized dogs build confidence. She is working on socialization and continued progress in a safe environment. A free training session will be provided to her adopter to help ensure a smooth transition and set her up for success in her new home. This sweet, playful boy loves to run and play outside, then happily snuggle up next to you for TV time or relaxing on the couch. Like many young pups, Rocket is still learning the ropes. He can be a bit vocal at times, so he may not be a good candidate for a shared wall home environment and may bark at new noises or people, but with consistent training and guidance, he’s already making great progress. Once he gets going, he does well on a leash, and while he can be a little unsure at first, his confidence continues to grow. He would enjoy a confident friend to play with in a secure fenced yard and go on walks with. Rocket is potty trained, knows his name, and does best when he has appropriate toys and chews of his own. He’s also great with kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful candidate for an active, loving home ready to help a young pup thrive.  Looking for a playful companion with lots of love to give? Rocket might be your guy!
