Story
Heather is a sweet Maltese that is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy dogs.  She is a breeder release and is guessed to be around 6-7 years old.   She is absolutely adorable and her foster mom says she is making great progress but is still very nervous around new people. She is quiet  and wants so badly to come close but is still quite nervous. She is fully kennel trained and with a pee pad in her kennel. It is her safe place.  She loves to be out in the dog run.She will need someone to introduce her to the world slowly to give her time to adjust to her new life. There are lots of other dogs at her foster moms house so we know she is dog friendly, her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced properly.  She thinks she would do better in a home with a confident dog or in a quiet home with adults or older quiet kids only. She will need an adopter who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable girl as a part of your family. She deserves all the love in the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter who is willing to help her continue with her training and help her gain confidence either with in person, or virtual training session(s). She will provide a discount on training.  The amount of training needed will depend on the knowledge and experience of the adopter and how far along Heather is at the time of adoption.

Story
Sophie is a precious Maltese that is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy dogs. She is guessed to be 6-9 years old. She is adorable and likes to cuddle up in her dog bed in her Kennel. That is her safe spot. Her Foster mom is working with her on potty training, socializing and leash training. Sophie will need someone to introduce her to the world slowly and give her time to adjust to her new life. There are lots of other dogs at her foster moms house so we know she is dog friendly, her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced properly. She thinks she would do better in a quiet home with adults or older children to work with her. Another confident dog could be helpful, but not necessary. She will need an adopter who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable girl as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans. Story
Meet Boo Bear! This little guy looks like he's from prehistoric times with those teeth! He came from a hoarding situation along with Bubbles, Winnie, Prissy, and Booger. Our rescue partner says they are all great pups who love to snuggle other dogs! From his current foster: " Boo Bear is the DREAM dog. In our home, he goes by Chewy (we are big Star Wars fans). If you want a small dog who is potty trained, friendly with dogs and cats, crate trained, and walks well on the leash, Chewy is your guy! He loves cuddling and napping. But he's also willing to go on long walks (his longest so far is 3 miles). He gets along great with our 2 german shepherds. He loves car rides and he does well traveling to other places! He'll play with you and if you need a buddy to cry with, Chewy is there. He absolutely loves being there for his people. And if you have a daughter who wants a dog to play dress up with, Chewy is the one! He will wear all the get ups... including build a bear clothes!! He's the real package! From his previous foster: "BooBear is timid at first but warms up quickly! He loves cuddling on the couch and walks. He is dog and cat friendly and potty trained and crate trained." ADOPTION FEE: $300 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.
