Story
This friend has just arrived because their owner could no longer keep them. While owners can provide some history on their pets, our medical and behavioral teams will still evaluate them. Dogs that have lived in homes previously typically have some training established, but we cannot guarantee that those behaviors will remain consistent in a new home environment. They are pending interactions with other animals at the shelter until they have been cleared by our vet. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and we will update their bio with more information as we learn. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Noel is a sweet, super playful 2-year-old girl who loves walks, playing with other dogs, and bananas (her favorite 🍌). She has a fun, happy personality and really shines when she’s active or spending time outdoors. She’d do best in a home with other small dogs to play with and learn from. Noel is very loving and people-focused—she bonds closely with her person and loves being nearby. Noel is still building confidence with alone time and will need a patient adopter who’s committed to giving her structure, routine, and continued training. She can get overwhelmed when left alone right now, but she’s already making progress and will keep improving with consistency. Noel is potty trained on a regular schedule and does best with frequent opportunities to go outside. With the right home and guidance, Noel is going to be an incredibly loyal companion who brings so much love and energy into her forever home. 💛 Kennel License 18972 https://www.familiarhearts.org/adoptable-pets

Story
Lady’s a 7yo 10lb Maltese mix. She’s dog selective, cat and kid 13+ friendly. She’s housebroken if kept on a schedule but will wear a diaper and use pee pads and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She’s agile, smart, likes squeaky toys, people and going for walks but will bark at people, dogs and noises. She is easy startled so best to sleep in a dog bed on the floor so not to accidentally wake her while sleeping. Lady’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be an only dog, brushed/groomed often to prevent matting along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lady as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lady takes medication for a seizure disorder and for her eyes. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Phila, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

*FULLY SPONSORED BY THE GREY MUZZLE FOUNDATION * Fully sponsored by The Grey Muzzle Organization. ALFALFA has been signed off by the vet and is ready for his forever home as an “as- is” senior sweetheart. Meet ALFALFA, our adorable senior Maltese blend whose life experience has prepared him to become the cherished pet you've been seeking. An extremely kid-friendly fellow, ALFALFA will follow you from room to room and enjoy his foster fidos. He loves to go for walks and relishes his meals of kibble and wet food mixed together. It's all about the simple things for this little guy: giving and receiving affection, sharing a stroll and a snack, looking across the room for a check-in and a "good boy." He's easy in the best possible way, and when you meet him, you'll realize that you've won each other's hearts in a twinkling. Apply today! 🌟 A Special Note About Adopting a Senior Dog 🌟 This Fido has been signed off by the vet and is ready for his/her forever home as an “as-is” senior sweetheart. Our senior dogs are proudly sponsored by The Grey Muzzle Organization, meaning there is no adoption fee to welcome one of these wonderful dogs into your home! While the adoption fee is waived, we provide these dogs "as-is," and we ask that all potential adopters fully embrace the unique reality of a senior companion. Please be prepared for these common, graceful signs of aging: Mobility: A senior dog won't move like a 2-year-old; expect mild stiffness or arthritis. Sensory & Vitality: You may notice slight cloudiness in the eyes, hearing loss, or common, age-related heart murmurs. Dental Health: Due to past life as a stray, many seniors have compromised dental health. These are natural, non-emergency findings that come with age. If you are not prepared for a dog that acts and moves like a senior, we kindly ask that you explore adopting a younger dog instead. If you are ready to provide comfort, love, and a peaceful next chapter to a dog who has earned it, our seniors are waiting for you! ❤️ At Trust Rescue, we're dedicated to connecting loving families with wonderful canine companions.
