Story
Lady’s a 7yo 10lb Maltese mix. She’s dog selective, cat and kid 13+ friendly. She’s housebroken if kept on a schedule but will wear a diaper and use pee pads and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She’s agile, smart, likes squeaky toys, people and going for walks but will bark at people, dogs and noises. She is easy startled so best to sleep in a dog bed on the floor so not to accidentally wake her while sleeping. Lady’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be an only dog, brushed/groomed often to prevent matting along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lady as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lady takes medication for a seizure disorder and for her eyes. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Phila, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Bobby is a sweet 9-year-old Malti-Poo who found his way to the shelter after his beloved owners had to move away. For a little senior who has known the comfort of a home and the love of his family, finding himself in a shelter has been a big change. But Bobby is ready for his second chapter—and we hope it will be filled with all the things a little senior dog deserves: love, kindness, patience, and plenty of attention.Bobby is a quiet, well-mannered little boy who is simply very sweet. And there`s something extra special about him—Bobby is bilingual! He understands both English and Spanish. His ideal family would be a retired couple or someone who has plenty of time to spend with him, giving him the companionship and affection he craves. His new family should also understand the grooming and care that comes with keeping a fluffy senior boy comfortable and looking his best.Bobby isn`t asking for much. He just wants a peaceful place to call home, someone to love him, and a family who will cherish him for all the years ahead. After losing the family he loved, Bobby deserves to find someone who will promise him that his next home will be his forever.

Story
Meet Pickle! Fostered in Jackson NJPickle is a sweet 9-pound, approx 2-3 year old Maltese looking for a patient and understanding home where he can build confidence at his own pace. This adorable little guy is very shy and may hide under a table or find a quiet spot when he's feeling nervous. While he takes time to warm up, the reward is well worth the wait. With gentle encouragement and plenty of treats, Pickle slowly begins to trust. His favorite snacks are cheese and peanut butter, and they're a great way to win his heart! Once he feels comfortable, he'll happily come over to see what goodies you have for him.Pickle is pee pad trained and does well when left home alone. He's still learning to walk on a leash and will need a family willing to help him continue building confidence out in the world. One thing Pickle would truly love is a calm female dog companion around his size. Having a gentle canine friend to snuggle with helps him feel safe and secure, and he enjoys the comfort of another dog by his side.  For this reason, we will only consider a home for him with another female dog companion.  Due to his timidness, we are looking for a home with a fenced yard.Pickle is searching for a quiet, loving home that understands shy dogs and will give him the time he needs to come out of his shell. In return, you'll get the joy of watching a timid little dog grow into a trusting companion. If you have patience, kindness, and a soft spot for underdogs, Pickle may be the perfect addition to your family.  Pickle is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. To apply for Pickle, please click the link to submit an application.  He is looking for a very special furever home who understands his needs, and. is committed to helping him continue to come out of his shell. https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ ##2830168##

Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Local Surrender Matilda is a six-year-old, spayed female who came to Wags as a local surrender. She has been living in her foster home with two medium-sized dogs and three adults for a some time now. Matilda was initially shy but slowly began to feel comfortable with her new setting and learning a new routine. She sleeps quietly in her crate through the night and has proven trustworthy outside of the crate as well. She is housetrained and rarely barks. Matilda takes treats gently and is very calm while being bathed. Now that she has gained some confidence in her foster home, Matilda enjoys running around the backyard, taking walks, and, most of all, rolling in the grass. She is looking for a patient, kindhearted person who can see her potential and give her the time and space to blossom. The love Matilda gives once she trusts you is quiet, sincere, and deeply rewarding the kind of love that feels earned and extra special. Matilda really is a delightful little dog. Story
Sweet little Selena is a 6-year- old, 7 - 8 lbs Maltese, looking for a family to call her own. She likes to follow you around and investigate her surroundings. She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home and has been seen trying play / climb on one of them. She is timid of people at first but has been warming up to her foster mom and doesn't mind being picked up for a snuggle or two. She just wants to be a companion dog being with someone makes her happy. Selena does have a low-grade heart murmur and test show that her albumin is low - this means like most aging people/ dogs she will need some medicine and a special low-fat diet to keep her healthy. Despite her medical needs she is a fun feisty little girl who loves to eat and loves her beds. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. [PA Kennel License #07735]
