Story
Lady’s a 7yo 10lb Maltese mix. She’s dog selective, cat and kid 13+ friendly. She’s housebroken if kept on a schedule but will wear a diaper and use pee pads and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She’s agile, smart, likes squeaky toys, people and going for walks but will bark at people, dogs and noises. She is easy startled so best to sleep in a dog bed on the floor so not to accidentally wake her while sleeping. Lady’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be an only dog, brushed/groomed often to prevent matting along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lady as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lady takes medication for a seizure disorder and for her eyes. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Phila, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Sweet Daishi is a 12 year-old, 20 pound mixed breed.  Daishi's mom is in assisted living so Daishi is back in the rescue.  Daishi walks nicely on leash and would like a quiet home.  Daishi does not like the crate and sleeps on her dog bed at night.  Daishi likes to lay outside in the sun and enjoy the spring weather.  She is fine with the other dogs in her foster home.  If you can give Daishi a home for her senior years, please fill out an application at oneloveanimalrescue.org to adopt her.To be considered as this pet's adopter, please go to  https://oneloveanimalrescue.org/adoption-applications/dog-application/ to complete your application. Story
Jovie Female Maltese/Poodle Mix 7 years old 7 pounds Health issues: Diabetic (managed) Good with dogs Unknown with cats Calm, gentle, older children only Jovie is an adorable, gentle girl who was used for breeding for 7 years before she was surrendered to Finding Shelter because she was no longer productive. Jovie was shy, scared, not feeling well (she was diagnosed and treated for diabetes), and yet she still found the courage to adapt to life indoors with new people. Jovie is incredibly sweet, her diabetes is controlled with daily insulin, she is happy and loves to cuddle on dog beds, and she seeks human attention now. We know Jovie has so much love to give to an experienced family who will provide the best care while allowing her to continue to blossom. Are you the one?
