After spending their lives as beloved companions, we were grateful to offer them a soft place to land and a second chance at a loving home. These boys have been nothing but sweet from the moment we met them. They settled quickly into their foster home and have been enjoying simple pleasures like sunny days outside, cozy dog beds, the company of their older doggy pals, and even leisurely walks in their stroller.As distinguished senior gentlemen, Gatsby and Gipper do best in a calm, relaxed environment and seem to enjoy the company of other easygoing dogs. Gatsby occasionally instigates short play sessions with his friends, while Gipper is more of a laid-back couch potato who prefers to take it easy.These adorable old men have wonderful manners and don’t ask for much—just comfort, companionship, and a family to love them through their golden years. They are looking for a forever home with someone who is home often and ready to spoil them rotten. Coconut(Coco)is an 8yo Maltese weighing 8lbs that we rescued from a commercial breeding kennel. Coco is learning what it means to live in a home - steps, new noises, doors, touch, TV’s, leashes etc. Coco had to have her remaining teeth removed due to decay but has no trouble eating soft food. She has a great appetite. She goes potty outside, walks around the neighborhood on a leash, enjoys good soft food and exploring the yard. She is fascinated with all the birds and squirrels. She loves liverwurst, chicken and beef hot dogs so she will come and take from my hand and if the refrigerator door opens, she runs over just in check if it’s something for her. She is good in the crate overnight and I have left her for 3-4 hours during the day with no problem. She knows “go potty”. Her crate has also been dry overnight. She will need another calm dog in the home to show her the ropes and build her confidence. I do have a fenced yard and that would be preferred as she loves it. But if no fence, she will need to be on a leash to be safe. Coconut and Cashmere could be adopted together if anyone is interested in two small dogs as very bonded.Mill dogs make the best pets ever who will bond with you forever. Her fur is growing in as she came in shaved. The brown is from licking with a mouth full of bacteria from bad teeth and with good food and regular grooming, her looks will blossom. Coconut is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.00.
