Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Myles — a happy, lovable Maltipoo who’s ready to find his forever family! Born around March 12, 2025, Myles weighs 17.6 pounds and is full of personality. He came to us as part of a 29-dog seizure where, although the dogs were cared for, they didn’t get the individual attention and socialization they needed. Despite that, Myles has proven to be incredibly friendly and people-loving. He thrives on attention and is always excited to be around his humans. Myles also has a playful side—he absolutely loves toys and is always up for some fun. Whether it’s a game of toss or just carrying his favorite toy around, he knows how to enjoy life. He’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and will benefit from a patient adopter who can continue helping him build confidence and skills. With his sweet nature and eagerness to connect, Myles is sure to make a wonderful companion. Myles’ adoption fee is $400. If you’re ready to welcome this charming boy into your home, you can apply at www.adoggie4you.org . This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 19, 2026, 4:30 pm

Story
Sailor is such a sweet little girl and perfect in every way. She is still quite scared and still shivers sometimes, but she is also brave and curious. In the beginning she finally drank some water and started to eat a few bites of soft food. She's was still trying to process this huge change in her life and was kind of frozen. She would stay still in one spot until she was moved. She didn't get up to pee, drink water or do anything. Day, she is eating more food and she is exposing her new environment. She even barked for the first time! She has been going potty outside and even to explore outside, sniffing everything. She had a play date with two Maltese dogs. She did get up to check them out and was friendly. Every day she takes small steps eating more food, drinking water, relieving herself and exploring. He curiosity is showing more every day. She is putting lots of energy into trying new things and becoming less shy. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Salon is a 7 year old Maltese sweetie. She’s a quirky little thing. When she first sees her humans after a separation (be it kiddos going to school or someone hanging out in their room for an hour) she does a body wiggle and opens her mouth while shaking her head. It looks super goofy but you can tell she’s SMILING. Hugely. Her tail wraps up twirly like a piglet. She loves to be underfoot, has figured out the dog door, but is learning about potty traineing. She barks when she’s been hanging out with someone and they go behind a door or gate. If she can follow she’s happy to be Velcro. There are zero signs of aggression, and she is not territorial. She is more curious and gentle. She’s great with little kids and cats (no chasing or barking) and other dogs. Green light! She may have problems with her teeth. She sleeps in a little bed in the living room. She would prefer to be with a human, but she manages to stay quiet 11-8 at least. She will pee when watching other dogs pee and smelling it, and she is willing to walk on grass and in rain. She is working on the idea of pooping outside. She does pee inside but with need more help doing everything perfectly. She’s really quite silly and charming. She is ood with other dogs, children, cats, and cars. She’s a real cutie pie. -----

Story
Big Hair is a little 6 year old Maltese girl and she is the definition of sweetness wrapped in a cloud of fluff. She absolutely adores snuggling up close, whether it’s on your lap, by your side, or tucked in with the kids for story time. Gentle, affectionate, and full of love, she gets along beautifully with children and other dogs, making her a perfect family companion. Her calm, cuddly nature is balanced by a playful sparkle that brings joy to everyone she meets, a tiny pup with a huge heart 💕. She sleeps on a blanket on the floor in the bedroom. She is very good about whining to go out when she needs to go! She’s still getting used to trusting humans. She can be hard to pick up because she’s hesitant to trust, but every day she is getting more comfortable with the idea as she is learning that it means snuggles for her. She also is starting to learn her name, which is helpful. She is comfortable riding in the car. -----

Story
Beaux a six year old Maltese dog. She is a curious, gentle and loving pup who blossoms with a bit of care and relaxation. She is eager to curl up on the closest soft surface – blanket, couch, or bed. She’s been the quietest and most courteous companion and is delighted to be near you, but not necessarily on top of you. She has never barked, but Beaux does notice sounds and quick movements. Her skittishness is quickly improving as she warms up to her new home more every day. After an adjustment period, she will be a sweet, chill, calm, and enjoyable companion. She loves going outside, and prefers to do her business there. She will IMMEDIATELY potty in the yard, and only has accidents if you miss her cues or she’s extremely nervous. She will occasionally do a darling low-tone howl to let you know she’s ready to go outside. So cute coming from this sweet, tiny, soft, ball of gentle energy. She is good running in the yard with other pets, but she doesn’t yet interact much with dogs, cats or children. She’s a bit of a loner. She likes to sleep in a dog bed in the bedroom. She shows some shyness around being picked up, especially at first. She rides well in a car . She likes her chew toys in particular. She’s’ a sweetie. -----
