Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member. Why this pet is the one for you:Otis, or Otis Wotis Botis as we affectionately call him, is a sweet pup who came to us without much socialization. Because he is still learning about the world around him, he can take a little time to open up to new people. But with patience and some tasty treats, he will reveal his loving personality and make a wonderful companion. He'll thrive in a calm home where he can feel safe and supported, with someone who will help him build confidence. Otis is currently working on walking on a leash and will need his new family to continue teaching him this skill through positive reinforcement training. He's also known to have big feelings around other dogs, so although he's not a candidate for dog parks or other off-leash venues, we can recommend plenty of other ways to bond with him! If you're ready to open your heart and home to a pup who's ready to make you his whole world, come adopt our sweet, sensitive Otis today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 67 Age: 1yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member. Why this pet is the one for you:He can be a bit anxious, which is common in shelter environments, but once he's out with his handlers, his true personality shines. He's a good boy on leash and enjoys getting out for walks, making him an easy companion to take along. Our staff and volunteers absolutely adore him and speak highly of his kind nature. He may have some skin issues that will need a little care, but with love and consistency, he has so much potential to thrive. He may feel more comfortable with women, so a calm, patient home would be ideal for him to continue building confidence. This handsome guy is just looking for someone to see past the stress of the shelter and give him the chance he deserves. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet companion, he could be the perfect match. Adopt Rudolph at the San Diego Campus today! Primary Color: Brindle Weight: 103 Age: 4yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Meet the delightful Stella! 🌟 This sweetheart is a gentle giant, still a playful puppy at heart and less than a year old! Just like Scooby Doo, she has a big, warm heart but also a hint of shyness—think of her as a lovable scaredy-cat! 🐾 If you come at her too quickly, you might see her back up and bark, but fear not! This lovely lady is making strides every day to gain her confidence. Stella is all about socializing and learning—as she embraces the world around her, she’s also getting better at leash walking and responding to commands. With a little firm guidance, she’s a quick learner thanks to her intelligence and a major love for treats! 🍖 Now, it’s important to note that Stella is still a big puppy who needs daily adventures—she dreams of long, joyous walks where she can soak up the sun 🌞 and explore her surroundings. But don’t worry; she’s also a champion napper who is content to rest in her crate for hours after a thrilling outing! 💤 Given her size and playful nature, it would be wise for Stella to find a home without small children to avoid any accidental oopsies. Just so you know—Stella has a soft spot for men over women, which makes her unique and intriguing. 🦸‍♂️ This charming canine is dog-friendly and loves to frolic and play with her furry pals! While she hasn’t met any cats yet, she certainly has a zest for chasing squirrels, birds, and butterflies. 🐦🦋 When startled or nervous, she does tend to bark, but it’s just her way of saying, "I’m learning to trust!" If you're a patient soul who can help this lovely lady shine, she's ready to shower her forever home with all the love she has to give. If you think you can provide a safe and supportive environment for Stella, then you're in for a special journey together! 🥰 Please remember, potential adopters must apply through the Buddy App to embrace this sweet giant into their hearts and homes!
