Meet Gus Gus is an 8-year-old black Mastiff with a heart as big as his paws. Found as a stray in Ontario alongside his friend—possibly his daughter—Tavi, Gus has shown nothing but gentle, loving energy. While they would love to find a home together, they can be adopted separately if needed. Weighing in at approximately 115 lbs, Gus is a true gentle giant. He’s the sweetest big boy who lives for chew sticks, affection, and cozy snuggles. Gus would be perfectly happy spending his days as a couch potato, soaking up love and giving it right back. Since being rescued from the shelter, she’s proven herself to be the perfect houseguest—gentle, loving, and so grateful for a second chance. Affectionately known as Tavi, she’s ready to leave her past behind and find a forever home where she can truly shine. She just needs someone to give her that chance… and we know she’ll give a lifetime of love in return. Due to Tavi's neglect, she had a severe eye infection when we rescued her from the shelter on the euth list.  Unfortunately, we were unable to save her eye but that doesn't stop her one bit! ##2688495##

How this pet arrived:This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on March 19, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you: Say hello to beautiful brindled Bistro! We are still learning about Bistro's unique personality, but from what we know so far, he's a gem - a big love who has been through adversity and come out the other side still gentle and unbroken. As soon as he arrived at the shelter, Bistro was treated by our veterinary team who extracted cactus thorns from his muzzle, and he's healing well! Prior to his arrival, he was briefly looked after by a Good Samaritan who reported that Bistro played well with their young child. Playful yet mellow, loyal and kind, Bistro's friendly and sweet nature endears him to everyone he gets to know. Adopting Bistro means bringing home a canine best friend who's ready to adopt a human family of his own! If you'd like to meet this courageous and devoted pup, speak with our team today!
