Meet your New Best Friend at an Adoption Event near you! Gorda is thinking about coming to an adoption event near you very soon. If you’d like to learn more about this pup and their fluffy friends who are looking for their furever homes, check out our website: https://amazingdogs.org/available-dogs/ If you would like to reserve this doggie and have us bring them to the event of your choice for you to meet first, you can do so by paying a non-refundable deposit of $50 to our Venmo or Zelle account (619-918 2142 in the name of Amazing Dogs; pls indicate your telephone number). This deposit will go towards the adoption fee. After receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your reservation and list the doggie on our website as ‘Pending Adoption’. If you decide not to adopt one of our Amazing Dogs, the $50 is considered a compensation for the transportation costs. All our doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for babies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work and take care of the 250+ dogs in our shelter. Meet Freeway, the gentle soul who deserves a second chance at finding a loving family of her own. Freeway has shown her resilience and loving nature despite facing hardship. Found on the streets of Tijuana with her 5 puppies, Freeway unfortunately lost her little ones. Now, she's ready to embark on a new chapter and fill a home with her sweetness and love. Freeway is very affectionate, getting along well with other dogs and is content to be a couch potato, enjoying quiet moments with her loved ones. If you're ready to offer Freeway the love and security she deserves, she's eagerly waiting to become a cherished member of your family. ##2016011##

Story
Tiggy was born and raised in our home. Our other two dogs are her parents. The fawn colored dog in the pictures is her mother she is half German shepherd and 1/4 English mastiff and 1/4 French mastiff. The father (reverse brindle) is pure bred English mastiff. She was born with 9 other brothers and sisters. She has never been alone so I think it would be best if she was adopted into a home with other dogs. We have cats and when she’s inside she’s fine around them but when outside they play at the window with each other. She was also raised around our 4 boys aged 1-8 years old. We have to rehome her because her mother dog (Zuma) is being aggressive with her. Tiggy is very loving and sweet and I don’t want her to get hurt. We got them both fixed and have still not seen any improvement with Zuma’s aggression towards her. Hoping to find Tiggy a loving home!

Story
Remy (formerly Chato of East Valley Shelter in Los Angeles) is a big sweetheart. He was terribly frightened during his time at the shelter and has been so happy to be living in his wonderful foster home. He has an adorably big overbite and a very slight cleft palate, both of which add to his charm. Remy does well with large and small dogs, and has been learning basic training with his foster mom - where he has proven to be a quick learner! Remy loves to play as much as he loves to snuggle on the sofa. Do you have some extra room for this hunk in your heart?

Story
Meet Woody! Woody came to us from West Valley Shelter-LA on November 29th. He is 8 years old, and although he weighs 124 lbs., he is the gentlest of giants. Since January, Woody has been living in a Foster home alongside a chihuahua and two cats, and according to his Foster Mom, he has been "amazing with them since the beginning. Here her full report on what life with Woody is like: "Woody is such a funny, sweet, goofy, and good dog! He has been great with all people he's met. He has only had brief interactions with kids in the neighborhood, but he has been totally accepting of little hands petting his face. Woody isn't overly affectionate with us. He doesn't lick us and seems indifferent to being pet. However, he shows he loves us in other ways! When we get home from work or when he first sees us in the morning, his tail wags and he goes for his toys. He also follows us from room to room all day. Woody lives with our chihuahua and two cats, and he has been amazing with them from the beginning. He naps much of the day, but he gets a burst of energy a couple times a day! During his high energy times, Woody loves to play with toys and fetch his ball. He enjoys short walks and he walks very slow (except for when he needs to potty, then he speed walks until he finds the perfect spot!) Woody has a seizure disorder, and thankfully, his seizures are currently well controlled by medications which he takes twice a day. He loooves taking meds because that means treats! He takes them happily in lunch meat, wet food, or cream cheese. Thank goodness for all the support Frosted Faces provides for their dogs! As a result of these medications , Woody is pretty clumsy and uncoordinated, and he bumps into things. We have stairs, and he can manage them for now. However, I do think a single story home might be best for Woody long term, unless his family could one day carry a 124 lb. dog up the stairs! Woody loves baking in the sunlight! If it's sunny outside, he will sometimes cry at the door for us to let him out onto the porch to sunbathe. He would love a spot to do this in his forever home. Woody has so many funny quirks that his family will fall in love with, and I hope they find him soon. I love to tell him he is a total sweetheart, because he is!"

Story
Meet Talula! Talula was surrendered by her owner to Palmdale Shelter. Dogs at this facility only have a short time to be adopted or become at risk for euthanasia, due to the steady flow of incoming pets. We scooped up Talula on March 5th to become a Frosted Face. She is 9 years old and weighs 74 lbs. She is spunky, happy, friendly, and well-mannered. Talula had a kennelmate at the shelter that she got along great with, and she does well making friends at FFF. Talula hiked 2.25 miles at her first weekly hike - don't let her frosted face fool you! The volunteer who hiked with Talula shared this rave review afterwards: "Talula is really awesome! She's a gentle big, very polite with every dog and human we passed on the trail. She was curious about the dogs ahead or behind us, but as we passed them she was perfectly polite. Talula is really sweet, leaned into my legs when we paused along the trail, takes treats gently, and likes to be pet. And she's gorgeous! I'm sure she would like to take daily walks for sniffs and exercise." Talula lives in a Foster home, and we are so happy she is being loved and pampered while she waits for her forever family. We received a great update from her Foster Mom: "Talula is wrapping up her 3rd week with us! She's such a great doggo and is really starting to get comfortable in our house. She adores my husband, but definitely has started seeking me out first (which really makes me smile). Talula is great with our little dogs and has even started doing a small amount of awkward playing with our younger guy! She trots to the door for pets when I get home from work, and it honestly melts my heart. Now that she's comfortable, we notice she spends more time with us and, though still enjoys walks, seems like she's in a hurry to get back to hang out. Last weekend, Talula visited her first brewery with us and was a champion in meeting all of the humans and dogs that we saw!" Check back soon for the next update on how sweet Talula is doing!
