Story
Meet Gus Gus is an 8-year-old black Mastiff with a heart as big as his paws. Found as a stray in Ontario alongside his friend—possibly his daughter—Tavi, Gus has shown nothing but gentle, loving energy. While they would love to find a home together, they can be adopted separately if needed. Weighing in at approximately 115 lbs, Gus is a true gentle giant. He’s the sweetest big boy who lives for chew sticks, affection, and cozy snuggles. Gus would be perfectly happy spending his days as a couch potato, soaking up love and giving it right back. He is housetrained and has wonderful manners, making him an easy, loving companion for a calm home looking for a loyal best friend. ##2648733##

Story
Hi, I’m Chunk. I’m a mastiff with a big body, a big brain, and an even bigger heart. I’m very social and incredibly sweet. I love attention and being around people. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to interact, learn, and be part of your world, that’s me. I’m also very smart and already know my basics: sit, shake, and down. I pick things up quickly and enjoy using my brain. I’ll be honest, though... I’m strong. Like, very strong. Because of that, I do best with experienced handlers who can guide me confidently and keep me learning. With the right person, I’m an amazing partner who’s eager to please and happy to work. I love my people deeply, and I’m more than ready to leave the shelter behind and start my next chapter. I’ve got so much love (and muscle) to give. I just need someone to give me the chance.

Story
Meet the delightful Stella! 🌟 This sweetheart is a gentle giant, still a playful puppy at heart and less than a year old! Just like Scooby Doo, she has a big, warm heart but also a hint of shyness—think of her as a lovable scaredy-cat! 🐾 If you come at her too quickly, you might see her back up and bark, but fear not! This lovely lady is making strides every day to gain her confidence. Stella is all about socializing and learning—as she embraces the world around her, she’s also getting better at leash walking and responding to commands. With a little firm guidance, she’s a quick learner thanks to her intelligence and a major love for treats! 🍖 Now, it’s important to note that Stella is still a big puppy who needs daily adventures—she dreams of long, joyous walks where she can soak up the sun 🌞 and explore her surroundings. But don’t worry; she’s also a champion napper who is content to rest in her crate for hours after a thrilling outing! 💤 Given her size and playful nature, it would be wise for Stella to find a home without small children to avoid any accidental oopsies. Just so you know—Stella has a soft spot for men over women, which makes her unique and intriguing. 🦸‍♂️ This charming canine is dog-friendly and loves to frolic and play with her furry pals! While she hasn’t met any cats yet, she certainly has a zest for chasing squirrels, birds, and butterflies. 🐦🦋 When startled or nervous, she does tend to bark, but it’s just her way of saying, "I’m learning to trust!" If you're a patient soul who can help this lovely lady shine, she's ready to shower her forever home with all the love she has to give. If you think you can provide a safe and supportive environment for Stella, then you're in for a special journey together! 🥰 Please remember, potential adopters must apply through the Buddy App to embrace this sweet giant into their hearts and homes! Story
Leo is a gorgeous neapolitan mastiff.  His ideal home would be a home with someone who knows the breed and can set boundaries for him to thrive. He has the potential to do well with other dogs as long as the other dogs have good temperament. He was fostered with kids who were 12 years of age and he did good with them. Come meet sweet Leo if you are looking for a gorgeous large boy. Leo's adoption comes with training. June 2, 2025, 11:00 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Forever Home Wanted: Meet Strawberry! Strawberry is a St. Bernard/Labrador Retriever mix who came to us through no fault of her own. She and her brother, Chunk-O (also available for adoption), were the last two remaining pups from an accidental litter of eight, and we stepped in to make sure they get the happy endings they deserve. Strawberry is brand new to our rescue, but so far she’s been nothing but a sweetheart. She loves pets and affection, has a gentle-giant demeanor, appears to be crate trained, and is both dog and people friendly. She’s the kind of girl who would be perfectly content soaking up love and being part of a family. As we continue to get to know Strawberry, we’ll share more about her personality—but one thing is already clear: she’s ready for a family to call her own. If you’re interested in meeting Strawberry, please fill out an application at  www.labradorsandfriends.org Strawberry is located in Southern California.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 12, 2026, 6:29 pm
