Story
Meet Brando — the 8-month-old, 74-pound Mastiff with a heart ready to heal and love. Brando’s story starts sadly: he was abandoned at a Dollar General, where he spent several days lying in the same spot, confused, depressed, and barely eating. But the moment a kind person took him in, his spark began to return — and that spark has grown brighter every day since. Now this gentle giant is showing who he really is: a smart, social pup who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is eager to learn. Because we aren’t sure he’s ever lived inside a home, he will need some basic training and patience as he figures out the comforts of indoor life. But for the person willing to invest that time, Brando will reward you with unwavering devotion and the incredible companionship only a Mastiff can give. Brando is ready for a second chance — a family who will never give up on him again. Could that be you? Brando is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $350. Please fill out an application or email us at char@adoptgoodkarma.com if you are interested in meeting him.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet the magnificent Miss Hetti. She is a playful, energy abundant Mastiff, and likely, boxer mix. She loves tummy rubs, fetch, and Benebone chew toys. Hetti thrives on multiple walks per day however can over heat quickly in higher temps. She is very strong and still learning manners with passing animals so an experienced handler and dog owner is a must. She loves greeting people but due to her size and still puppy behaviors, a house with kids over 12 is preferred. For Hetti to live her best life she should be a solo canine with a large fenced yard and an active owner willing to give her the exercise and attention she needs.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. December 6, 2025, 5:05 pm
