Story
Penelope is a 16-month-old AKC registered English Mastiff who was safely trapped on January 11th by the amazing team at Aerial Solutions. Unfortunately, Penelope was in heat at the time she was trapped, which means there is a strong possibility that she may be pregnant. She has an ultrasound scheduled for February 13th to confirm or deny pregnancy. We have already received multiple applications for Penelope, and we are still accepting applications at this time. Please be patient with us - our rescue is entirely volunteer-run, and we all balance families, jobs, and other responsibilities. We truly appreciate your understanding. Here’s how the process will work: 1) We will review all approved applications and select the best fit for Penelope on February 9th 2) When speaking with applicants, we will ask if you would be open to adopting a puppy if Penelope is pregnant, or being considered for a puppy if you are not selected as Penelope’s adopter If Penelope IS pregnant: -Existing applications will be used to place puppies -One of our board members will foster Penelope and her puppies until they are weaned and ready for their forever homes If Penelope IS NOT pregnant: -We will plan a meet & greet with the chosen adopter on or around February 13th, pending schedules Due to Penelope’s breed, she will not be spayed until she is 2 years old, which is best for her long-term health. This will be an important consideration for homes with unaltered male dogs, as she may come into heat again before she is eligible for spay. All about Penelope: -Sweet, resilient, playful girl -Good with dogs -Good with cats (may chase if they run) -Previously lived with young children -Up to date on vaccines -HW negative Adoption Fees $250 adoption fee + $200 spay deposit -If pregnant, puppy adoption fees will be the same Apply to adopt here: https://form.jotform.com/251953900942157

Story
This little bundle of love is already showing a perfect blend of gentle Mastiff charm and playful Pitty spirit. Curious, cuddly, and full of puppy wiggles, they’re learning about the world one nap and belly rub at a time. With a sturdy build and an even sturdier heart, this pup will grow into a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be close to their people. They’re ready to start their journey with a forever family who will help them grow, learn, and be loved every step of the wayWe do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. January 30, 2026, 1:54 pm
