Story
What a big, handsome boy! Sandals is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 69 pounds. Sandals is a friendly pup with an outgoing, connecting, and affectionate nature, who is looking for a furever home. He has more of a calm demeaner, loves giving kisses and even likes to try to sneak up in your lap, he really doesn’t seem to know his size! What a good boy he is at relinquishing his toys too and has a great recall. While Sandals is an incredibly sweet dog, he will need some basic obedience training as he can get a bit excited and jumpy sometimes. His adopter also needs to know how to establish themselves as a leader and understand the importance of this with a large breed dog. A home where any children are at least 13 years old is just what he needs. Sandals will make a great companion for someone looking for a playful, enthusiastic and adventurous friend! If you are interested in Sandals and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Knows Basic Commands: Sit, but we’re working on it. Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: None Physical Fence: Preferred / No Invisible Fences Nickname: Brock-Lobster Likes long walks, Sunbathing, Taste-Testing Arrival story: Brock was pulled from Detroit Animal Control Approximate age / Weight: 10-ish Years young, 95 LBS Hey guys - I’m so excited to meet you! I’m Brock! I’m about 10 years young, but my foster parents think I may be a bit younger. I love going for walks and am great on leash! I enjoy trotting around town checking out new spaces. I get bursts of energy throughout the day, so walks or playtime are needed so I can enjoy my best life. I’d probably enjoy adventuring, but I'm perfectly content to just lounge around. I love playing tug or chasing the ball outside or just relaxing and chewing on Benebones or other chews. Pigs ears and bully sticks are my absolute favorite. I’m also a bit of a foodie! I love trying new foods, but watch out! Sometimes I get over excited about treats and get a little too chompy, so watch your fingers. I love everyone I meet, but because of my size and energy around taking treats, I would do better in a home with teenagers or adults. I look forward to meeting you and hope I can become a special part of your family. Contact: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. Story
Hi my name is Batli! I am a good boy and I am looking for an active owner willing to offer training and exercise, but in return I can offer unconditional love and years of happiness. I can be a bit shy with new people and would love to be given the time and patience to show you my true personality. I do have some big feelings about some things in this world and tend to express this by reacting with barking and may be a bit too much for some families. I will need to continue my training and HSHV offers classes for dogs like me! Visit www.hshv.org for more information.

Hi my name is Posey! I am a shy dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. If you give me a chance, you could be just the person I am looking for, and I could be the dog to make you feel complete!
