He’s loving, enjoys being sweet-talked, and is happy to keep you company while you go about your day. His size certainly makes an impression, but the affection is what will have you making room for him at home. And possibly shopping for a bigger dog bed. He’s gorgeous, substantial, and a surprisingly low-key for a dog who has such a presence. At home, Bear is happy to putz around with you. Going into the kitchen? He might come along. Settling in for a quiet evening? Wonderful. He’ll find a spot to stretch out and become a very large rug. Being near his person and having somewhere comfortable to lounge suits him perfectly. Bear seems especially drawn to women, men are welcome but can you blame a big boy for having heart for a lady? Of course not! For a woman who loves big dogs, his devoted company and impressive presence is a lovely combination. He’s easy to picture beside you during a quiet evening, close enough for an occasional head rub while you unwind. He’s also a wonderful car companion. Bear generally hops right in and settles nicely in the back seat, ready to enjoy the ride. After a longer walk, a little sweet talk may help him decide to make the hop but its no trouble at all despite his size. And if there’s a chance to catch a breeze through an open window, he will be extra pleased to tag along on whatever adventure you choose. Walks with Bear are enjoyable, too. He has a great pace and walks nicely on leash. Squirrels can catch his attention, but he responds well to guidance. At 110 pounds, he’ll need a confident handler who is comfortable managing a large dog and can help him keep his enthusiasm about those pesky squirells in check. Bear knows sit, shake, and down, and he takes his treat payments gently. He also loves the water, so a chance to splash around would be a lovely addition to his otherwise fairly chill and leisurely agenda. That does not mean dogs are not welcome but Bear doesn't need them to be happy. Meet Oskar! Oskar is a big ball of puppy joy with an even bigger set of paws. He spends his days doing what puppies do best - snuggling up for naps, tumbling around the backyard, tagging along after his foster brothers like they hung the moon, and belly-flopping into any bit of water he can find. Those gigantic webbed feet of his are almost comically too big for him right now, and honestly, we think he's training to be a future (slightly less graceful) Michael Phelps. At just 3 months old (As of September 7th, 2026), he's already 40 lbs of pure puppy enthusiasm, which means there's a whole lot of goofy, loyal, cuddly dog still to grow into. Meet Kodiak! Kodiak is a 3.5-month-old Mastiff/Shepherd mix who currently weighs about 28 pounds. He came to us from Washington with his siblings after a kind woman took them in when they were just six weeks old. After growing up surrounded by people and other dogs, this sweet boy is ready to find his forever home. Kodiak is the talker of the group! He loves to snuggle into his person and quietly “chat” while he’s being cuddled. He also has an impressive hound-style howl and used to greet his caregiver with one when she came home at night. Kodiak can be a little more cautious than his siblings. When something makes him unsure, he tends to retreat to a place where he feels safe. A patient family that helps him continue building confidence while experiencing new things will be a wonderful fit. This boy also really loves his food! He can be enthusiastic at mealtime, so his caregiver had already begun working with him on patience and portioning. He has not shown food aggression—he’s simply very eager to make sure he doesn’t miss a bite. Kodiak enjoys long walks, digging in the dirt, playing tug-of-war, exploring outside, and following his people around. He is learning to come when called and will benefit from continued training and positive reinforcement as he grows. Kodiak is good with dogs and kids so would be a good family dog. Mastiff mix, which means I look like I could wrestle a bear, but emotionally I'm more of a "did that leaf just move" kind of guy. New people are a little overwhelming, and I'll need some time to decide you're actually part of my ohana. Once you've earned my trust, though, congratulations. You now have a 95 pound shadow who believes personal space is a myth and that every couch was specifically designed for us to share. I'm a professional homebody. I'd much rather spend my evenings snuggled up inside where it's cozy, snacks magically appear, and we can pretend the outside world doesn't exist. If your ideal weekend includes blankets, movies, and absolutely no social obligations, I think we just became best friends. I also get along great with other dogs. My only request is that they're more "peaceful yoga retreat" than "spring break in Miami." Calm friends are my favorite kind of friends. Cats are still a mystery to me. They might be tiny roommates. They might be fuzzy little bosses. We can absolutely do a cat test to find out.
