Good with dogs,
Story
House trained: Mostly Energy level: Moderate (shes playful and spry for her age!) Noise level: Medium Hey there I'm Daisy your new four-legged best friend! Despite my age I'm still as playful and spry as a pup. I absolutely love going for walks and guess what? I can keep up with the younger dogs with no problem. So if you're an active soul I'm your perfect match! Now let's talk about my other love food! I'm a bit of a foodie and I'll make sure you never forget when it's time to chow down. I'm what they call a Velcro dog meaning I like to stick close to my humans. I'd be over the moon if you're the kind of person who takes me everywhere or works from home. I thrive on companionship and being by your side is my favorite place to be. As a result, I do have some separation anxiety when you leave - I just want to be with you always! I generally come when called and I do great on a leash but I could use some additional training when it comes to learning how to sit/stay. Now I've got to be honest I'm mostly potty trained but every now and then there might be a little accident. I hope you can forgive me for that. We all have our moments right? I do know how to hold my bladder overnight, and I've done well with frequent trips outside and pee pads in the home. Here's a heads up I'm not a fan of the car. So if you're planning any road trips I might not be the ideal travel buddy. But hey we can always find other fun things to do together. Similarly, I'm not a huge fan of my crate. Both cars and crates make me yip and shiver! I may need some additional training on this front. In a nutshell I'm Daisy, a lovable food-loving and energetic dog ready to bring joy to your home. If you're on the lookout for a loyal companion for walks and a buddy to keep you company at home I'm your girl! I cant wait to find my forever home where I can share all the love Ive got to give! My foster guardian says: Daisy is very cute and sweet and at times funny and goofy (for example a few times she has danced around my dog and rubbed herself up against her). She also likes to roll around and rub things like couch cushions. She also likes to scratch and burrow and roll around on towels sheets shirts small rugs etc that are on the floor. Likes: Burrowing rawhide sticks hanging with you! Dislikes: Cars; when my people leave! My ideal home: Id love a home where I can be treated like a queen to live out my golden years. I'd do best in a home without children or older children that can respect my space. Story
Little Chocolate is proving that age is just a number at his new foster home! If it weren't for his distinguished gray chops, we would never believe he's 12 years old.  Chocolate has been joining our 9 year-old dog on his morning walks, and regularly out-paces him! He loves to run and sniff, but his favorite is rolling in the grass. We think Chocolate was probably an only dog, but he has done great with our 70lb dog, so he could fit into any household. We heard he might not be cat-friendly, but we haven't seen him get into arguments with anyone but the squirrels.  Once he's at home, Chocolate likes to take looooooong naps. He would be the perfect companion for someone who works from home, or is retired, for that reason. He's very quiet, and is happy to sleep in your lap or beside you on a bed, and he loves to watch movies on the couch.  He cuddles with our kids just as readily as he cuddles with us, so he would do great as a family dog. Due to his small size, he would probably be best with older kids. Chocolate was great in the car as long as we held him, and was even fine through the 4th of July fireworks, so he is one chill little guy! Chocolate seems to be crate trained, and often chooses his crate as a safe space when we leave it open for him. He prefers to be with people, but he does just fine when left alone.  If you want a pint sized companion for your outdoor adventures, a cuddle buddy for movie night, or an adorable walking pal as you get in your steps, Chocolate is the dog for you!y __________________________________________________ This dog's adoption fee is $475. Story
Meet Charlie! Charlie is about 2 years old and a little guy at only 26 lbs. Our best guess for Charlie's breed mix is Min Pin/Fiest Mix. Charlie is a happy boy who has a good mix of play time and snooze time. Once he has gotten his energy out, he is happy to chill with you on the couch or snuggle in for a nap. Charlie is good with other dogs but can be overly excited around cats. Although Charlie is not in a foster home with children, we feel he would do well with children 5 years and up. He is housetrained and SUPER friendly! Charlie would do best in a home where someone is around a good portion of the day. Charlie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
