Hi there, I’m a pretty little Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix named Cindy. I am about 1.5 years old, weigh 13 lbs, and I was kept with a couple of doggy friends in an outdoor crate on an apartment balcony in San Antonio, Texas. It was a miserable life, and because our owner could not afford our care, we were surrendered to 4 Little Paws Rescue. That was a defining moment for us all, since we were just coming down with Parvo and would surely have died without the rescue's help. With no expense spared, we had a new type of treatment with a very high survival rate called Monoclonal Antibody injection, and just a day or two later, we were out of the woods and feeling wonderful! That was a close call, and now that we are healthy, happy, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, we are ready to find much better futures!! I am a very sweet girl, a bit shy at first, but otherwise great with everyone I meet. I am friendly and playful with other dogs, from big dogs to puppies. I’m a very nice playmate. I love doggy toys, lick mats, rope toys, running zoomies, and collecting sticks from the yard. My foster mom says my energy level is nicely balanced between playful energy and calm energy, and I am VERY affectionate! I like to give and receive kisses, and will stand and stretch out my arms to get picked up to be carried. I sleep at night in bed with my foster parents and am hoping for the same perk in my new forever home. I am housetrained to a potty pad for indoor time, and I am doing well using a doggy door to potty outside. I will cry a bit when kept in a crate, but with toys to entertain me, I do fine. I’m not destructive, so when home alone with the other foster dogs, I am gated off in a family room/kitchen area with access to the doggy door. I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started! URGENT: IMMEDIATE FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED: This adorable little girl is Maple and she's a 1-2 year old Mini Pin mix who is fully grown at 15 pounds. She has a wonderful & happy personality and is always up for a fun time. She gets along great with other dogs and loves everyone she meets. She also likes cats which makes her even more perfect. Maple is super smart with lots of fun energy but she's also a cuddle bug who will curl up with you and watch TV. She loves hanging out with people and going to dog parks too so we think she'd do well living as a solo pup or with a doggie sibling. As with most Mini Pins, she has lots of energy so we think she'd love a fully fenced in yard to play in. She's totally housebroken, sleeps through the night in her bed, and is healthy and up to date on all her vaccinations.
