✨Meet Snowflake!✨ Snowflake is a 7-year-old Miniature Poodle mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Snowflake had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a mill mama her entire life. She is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us her trust. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands her past and gives her the time she needs to trust them and her new surroundings. Snowflake loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a mill mama, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family. hi Kinley, this pretty girl is an approx. 4 year old mix breed (suspected mini poodle mix). She was left abandoned in a backyard for weeks until animal control was called and they brought her to the shelter. We were able to quickly transfer her to us. She is 10 lbs. What a happy, curious, energetic sweet puppy! Despite having a difficult life thus fur, she remained the sweetest little girl around and after a good groom, she is now feeling like a million bucks. Kinley is vision impaired though she is not fully blind. She uses her scent to compensate but also does have some vision and hearing. She is looking for a loving home that will spoil her and take on lots of adventures. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, 4dx tested. . She would need to meet any resident dogs. Nash is a 3 year old neutered male mini poodle who weighs 9 pounds. He came to us when his previous owner could no longer care for him and wanted a better home for him. They reported that he was attacked as a puppy, so his hind leg gait is a little bit odd, but it does not bother him. We did have him vet checked and they vet could not locate any pain and felt that his knees and hips were in good shape.
