Story
BARLEY - SPRING ADOPTION SPECIAL $50 Barley is a 7.5-year-old, 60 pound, spayed female Mountain Cur mix that came to shelter as a stray. Her right ear is permanently folded down, due to an old hematoma. But, it doesn’t seem to bother her at all. She is a friendly and playful girl, who likes squeaky, plush toys and LOVES a good scratch, especially on the base of her tail. According to her finder, Barley didn’t appear to like other animals, but was comfortable and friendly around young children. Barley is UTD on all her shots & completely vetted. Barley has some separation anxiety, which foster has worked with her on. She is doing amazing. Would love to get her into a foster to adopt home, with someone who is home with her. Story
Pansy is a petite little sweetheart — only about 22 lbs — with the softest heart and gentle soul. She’s a shy, tender-natured girl who just needs a little time and patience to feel safe and show her true personality. Once she trusts you, though, she’s incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle up with her favorite humans. Pansy gets along beautifully with other dogs and does great around children, including toddlers. In fact, she’d thrive in a home with a confident, playful dog to help guide her and show her that the world isn’t so scary. She’s food-motivated (and may sneak a snack if your toddler drops one!) and is doing very well with house training, reliably going potty outside. Because of her timid nature, Pansy will need a secure home with a fenced-in yard and an adopter who understands that confidence takes time to build. With love, patience, and reassurance, this little girl will blossom into the most loyal, loving companion you could ask for. If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! Story
Meet Our Sweet Brindle Girl – 25 Pounds of Pure Love!   Looking for a new best friend? This sweet-as-can-be pup is ready to be your whole world. She’s an affectionate, eager-to-please young dog who learns quickly and wants nothing more than to make her people happy.   In just three days, she mastered potty training and is now working hard on her manners. She’s learning that four paws on the floor gets attention and that sitting earns treats—and she’s catching on fast!   She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and even coexists peacefully with the household’s strong-willed cat. She’s easygoing, gentle, and quiet in her crate. She’s also discovering the joy of toys and loves going for walks—she’s great on a leash and enjoys exploring the world with you.   Because she’s still practicing polite greetings and occasionally forgets not to jump, she’d do best in a home with older children who can help reinforce her training.   With her beautiful brindle coat, sweet personality, and cuddly 25-pound frame, she’s the perfect mix of fun, affection, and potential. This lovely girl is ready to bond with her forever family—could it be you?   If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Story
She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained, does well in a car and does awesome on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and is probably not a fan of cats. She is a sweetheart with people and is ready to go! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy.
