Story
Hi I'm Georgia! At 8 months old and 30 pounds my foster Mom says I'm the perfect size package! I'm a fun loving gal who enjoys playing with toys and bones and playing a nice game of fetch! I currently have several other dogs in my foster home that I get along with well, however I'm still recovering from the scars of my past of not knowing when my next meal was coming so I do need to be fed separately. I would do well with another playful dog in my home to keep me company and help with my confidence. I am working hard on learning new commands and I'm very treat motivated so training me should be fun! I am doing well at learning to live in a house but will still need guidance in my new home to ensure that I'm the best puppy that I can be. I'm being fostered in Rockford, Illinois... If you think that I sound like a good fit for your family I would love to meet you If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $400 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 6, 2026, 9:09 am

Story
DINKLEY - SPRING ADOPTION SPECIAL $50 Dinkley will need a special adopter. Someone that can care for his special needs. He is a 1.5 YRS old, 40 pound catahoula mix. He is very energetic and definitely needs help learning his puppy manners still. He is very, very smart. He enjoys wobble feeders, kongs, and puzzle toys. He has not been formally dog tested yet but we are happy to get that officially done, at a later date. After a few initial barks he settled down during a through-fence meeting. Dinkley is just a baby and deserves to live for as long as his heart will let him. Hopefully, he can live a long life with proper medical care! Dinkley has been diagnosed with possible Pulmonary Stenosis. It is under control and the vet feels he has a full life a head of him. He will need to see the cardiologist probably twice a year for follow up. His adoption fee is $50.
