Story
This gal has been at the shelter since she was a day old. Her momma was in an abandoned house and brought to us during the snowstorms in January. She and her sister are the last 2 babies to find homes. Abra is more outgoing and eager to greet people. She is always a happy face to see and loves people. She has the puppy energy and will need all the puppy basic training. She is a fun girl to be around. She gets along with other pups her size, she hasn’t been around too many larger dogs. She will probably be around 40lbs when full grown as that’s what her mama is, we have no idea about the dad.

Story
Asha’s owners loved her but had a farm, and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and chose to surrender her. Asha is high-energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and being with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm-negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes

Story
Bert is approximately 1 year old, plott hound/lab mix, 40 pound ball of snuggles. If you’re in a recliner he’s up there with you snuggling away and asleep within minutes. He walks great on a leash, even does great on slow bike rides with the leash! We have not brought him around kids or cats but he is fantastic with our dogs! We believe he would be best fit in a home with at least another dog that can keep up with his energy. If not, then he needs to be with a family who can play with him. He has been doing super well with potty training. He can sit, shake, knows “kennel up”,  and give kisses on command. He will need to be in a home where someone is home so that he can benefit from continued training and socialization.  Bert truly is the melt-iest love bug out there. He loves doing “mouth snappies” and will never bite you even if you put your hands in his mouth! Trust me we’ve tested it! It will truly be heartbreaking seeing Bert go but he deserves his forever family!  If you are interested in adopting/meeting , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! Story
My name is Jim and I am a happy and carefree guy. I am about 2 years old and weigh around 35 lbs. My breed is anyone's guess! Plott hound, lab, cur... I just know that I love everything about life now that I am in a home with a family. I love hanging out with my dog “brother” and we play all the time. Nothing makes me happier than a good cuddle, scratch, or just sitting next to you on the couch, chilling. I love spending time outdoors sunbathing and going for walks. I’m pretty good about going potty outside but still need some practice. My crate is my night time sleep spot and sometimes I’ll hang out there during the day to relax. I’m really smart and have mastered basic commands. I would love to be part of your family and can’t wait to find my forever home.
