BARLEY NEW YEAR NEW FRIEND ADOPTION SPECIAL $75 Barley is a 7.5-year-old, 60 pound, spayed female Mountain Cur mix that came to shelter as a stray. Her right ear is permanently folded down, due to an old hematoma. But, it doesn’t seem to bother her at all. She is a friendly and playful girl, who likes squeaky, plush toys and LOVES a good scratch, especially on the base of her tail. According to her finder, Barley didn’t appear to like other animals, but was comfortable and friendly around young children. Barley is UTD on all her shots & completely vetted. Barley has some separation anxiety, which foster has worked with her on. She is doing amazing. Would love to get her into a foster to adopt home, with someone who is home with her. ANNIE MEW YEAR MEW FRIEND ADOPTION SPECIAL $100 Annie needs foster or adopter asap. Annie is an 1.5 yr old, 47# pound, female, Coonhound mix that came in to the shelter as a stray. She was running with another dog. Annie is a happy, playful girl that is friendly and enjoys being part of what her human is doing. She is working on her separation anxiety. She has plenty of energy, although not spastic, and is looking for an active family of her own. She experiences a little stress at first. But warms up quickly. We do want to reiterate that she was brought in with another dog, and she seemed to be fine with him. In her current foster home, she plays with the kitties and 2 of the dogs. Also, when she is out of the kennel in a play yard, she is very cuddly and happy towards people! Annie is utd on all vetting, spayed, chipped. Completely ready for her FUREVER home 💜 She would do best with older kids so she doesn't accidentally knock them down playing. Her adoption fee is $100. Story
Asha’s owners loved her, but had a farm and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and made the choice to surrender her. Asha is high energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and to be with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org . If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes!

Story
This family was found in an abandoned building and with it being winter, was brought to the shelter so they would survive….. and their mama has done a wonderful job with them!! They are a cute mixture of colors and personalities. Their mom is a mountain cur mix and we have no idea on the dad so we aren't sure. of any prey drive. They are a fun group of puppies and are now playing with other puppies just fine. Abel was the runt of this litter. He has the most wonderful fun personality. He likes nothing more than to be held and kiss your face. We aren't thinking he's gonna be even close to his mom's size since he is half the size of his siblings but he may sprout overnight!? He will need the basic puppy training but should do fine in any type home. He is a curious pup so will need an eye kept on him as he's small enough to get into a lot of things. He is a little fighter ready to have his own family. Abel is being fostered in TN but we do transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

These pups are in Chicago, Illinois too!

Story
***In order to alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society's physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. ***Wilco is a 5-year-old Plott Hound who we've owned since she was a puppy. She is spayed, house and crate trained, and has been in extensive obedience training and LOVES to practice her skills. She's about 70 lbs. (large for her breed). She does not have any dietary restrictions other than being a little picky (she likes some stock on her dry dog food) and her health has been top notch her whole life. She currently takes Prozac to help with her anxiety, which she's had since we moved to Chicago in 2021. Wilco is good around other dogs and hasn't spent much time around cats. She is nervous around small children, which is why we need to rehome her - she's been very cagey and a little growly around our baby, and we think she'd do better in a house without small children (under 5). She's totally fine with older kids and humans. She gets 60 minutes of exercise a day, loves pets but not to cuddle, and won't try to sleep on your bed (she prefers her crate). Please reach out to jrsweeney530@gmail.com for more information.

Story
With smooth, velvety fur, soft, kind eyes, a gentle demeanor, and adorable head tilts to die for, our beautiful, precious house cow, Blossom, is the total package! Blossom was rescued from an open-intake animal control facility in Kentucky. Unfortunately, she was brought in as a stray and was never claimed. Her history and ancestry are unknown, but she is estimated to be approximately two years of age and weighs 85 pounds. Her appearance and characteristics suggest Catahoula Leopard Dog, Mastiff, and/or Great Dane in her family tree, but without a DNA test, we cannot say for sure what breeds make up this unique beauty. Blossom is enjoying the comforts and kindness of a foster home in Chicago while waiting to meet her forever family. She's a friendly, albeit timid, dog with new people and in new environments. A few kind words and gentle pets are all it takes for Blossom to warm up to new people, and once she does, she's your shadow. Her interests include long walks, Nylabones, Kongs, soft blankets, cushy beds, couch cuddles, and treats. Blossom's energy is generally a mellow, gentle vibe. However, she is still a very large, strong, young dog with brief moments of excitability and bursts of energy and the adorable clumsiness many young, large, and giant breeds exhibit. Because of this, a home familiar with and experienced with large, powerful dogs will be the best match for her. She's well-behaved in the home, crate trained, and housebroken but does not appear to know any commands, so her adoptive guardians should be prepared to help her learn the basics. Blossom is being fostered with other dogs and gets along well in the group but is not always aware of her size or strength when playing. If considering bringing Blossom into a home with an existing canine, a larger dog (45 pounds +) who can handle her size and play style will be best. She's a little too interested in cats, so a feline-free home is the best match for her. Blossom is ready and eager to meet you, submit your application today! Blossom is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm tested. Her adoption fee to the rescue is $375. Blossom is in a foster home and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved. For more info or an application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit palsplacerescue.org. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an adoption application unless you are ready to meet and welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. Adoption applications and correspondence from the rescue may end up in your spam or junk folder. If you are waiting for our reply, please check those folders regularly, and if it has been 48 hours without a reply, please follow up with an email to ensure your application was received. • Blossom's adoption fee is $375. This fee helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare her for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on adoption fees and donations to care for the animals in our rescue. Your donation also helps save other dogs like Blossom from euthanasia. • Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application and put the dog's name in the subject line. Please check your spam/junk folder; sometimes, the applications end up there!
