Story

Chico is a sweet, sensitive boy who has already come so far! When he first arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender, he was extremely frightened and had never even been walked on a leash. With patience and kindness, Chico proved himself to be an incredibly fast and willing learner—within just one day, he began accepting the leash and going for walks! Chico can be shy when he first meets someone and may cower when he’s unsure, but once he realizes you’re safe and kind, he absolutely blossoms. ❤️ He becomes affectionate, enthusiastic, and so excited to be your friend. 🐶 He’s also very dog friendly! Chico thrived in foster care with three other dogs of different sizes—a large male, medium female, and small female—and has done wonderfully around other dogs. His foster has been showing him how much fun life can be! Chico has gone to the beach, walked around town, and even attended Bingo at a local establishment. He’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all, and now he’s ready for a patient, loving family to continue showing him just how good life can be. 💙

Story

Lillie is spayed! She is fully healthy! and microchipped! Lillie is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! 💧: Reliably potty trained and lets you know when they need to go outside. 🏠 : Crate Trained: Comfortable spending time in a crate and settles easily. 🚶: Will benefit from continued training. Tends to bark/pull/jump on leash towards other dogs and/or people and will benefit from a calm neighborhood or a backyard. 🐶: Prefers to Have Friends Outside: Enjoys being the only pet in their home, but does well on parallel walks with dog friends outside the home. 😺: Unsure with Cats: Has not been tested with cats, so their compatibility is unknown. We would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet. 🧒: Adults-Only Home Preferred: Feels most comfortable in a home without children. Lillie is a super sweet southern belle with the most adorable eyebrows east of the Mississippi! She is a piece of cake in the home and makes for a fantastic work from home friend! She loves a good belly rub and enjoys sunbathing outside whenever she gets the chance. Lillie is looking for a home that would love to give her ample pets and can let her explore the backyard to her heart's content. 🧬: Lillie has been DNA tested! Her genetic makeup includes: Catahoula Leopard Dog (54%), Plott Hound (18.7%), Redbone Coonhound (8.9%), American Foxhound (7.9%), American Pit Bull Terrier (5.9%), and English Foxhound (4.6%). 💰: Lillie’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter! 🩷: Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/. Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours.
