Story
Asha’s owners loved her but had a farm, and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and chose to surrender her. Asha is high-energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and being with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm-negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org . If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes!

Story
This gal has been at the shelter since she was a day old. Her momma was in an abandoned house and brought to us during the snowstorms in January. She and her sister are the last 2 babies to find homes. Abra is more outgoing and eager to greet people. She is always a happy face to see and loves people. She has the puppy energy and will need all the puppy basic training. She is a fun girl to be around. She gets along with other pups her size, she hasn’t been around too many larger dogs. She will probably be around 40lbs when full grown as that’s what her mama is, we have no idea about the dad.

Story
Kodiak! This handsome hunk is Kodiak. He was adopted from us as a puppy about a year and a half ago and while he was well loved some major family changes (through no fault of Kodiak's) made his family decide that they were not giving him the time and attention he needs. As sad and confused as Kodiak is at losing the only family he knows he is trying really hard to put on a brave face and is now looking towards to future. He is an energetic goofball and would love an active, adventurous family. Like hiking? So does Kodiak! How about games of fetch? Kodiak is your guy! Kodiak is housebroken and crate trained, although we would expect any dog might have a few accidents while they transition ot a new home and routine. Although Kodiak is very dog friendly he is also a (large) bundle of energy and may intimidate some dogs with his....exuberance. He did happily live with another dog since puppyhood. Although he lived with a very young child he is a 60 lb freight train at times and as such will accidentally knock over little ones and would do best with older kids or an adult home. Interested in Kodiak? Please go to www.dogtownrescue.org to complete an online adoption application

Story
Frank is a handsome, sweet and loving companion. He is a Mountain Cur/Shepherd Mix, approximately 7-8 years old and 55 pounds. He absolutely loves snuggling and laying around the house. He also likes to run and play fetch, but overall he is a very calm dog. You can usually find him lying in the sun or by the fire. Frank is well-mannered in the house and sleeps in his cozy crate at night. He knows basic obedience commands and is eager to please. He is anxious and scared of other dogs and would need to be in a home with no other dogs. Because of this, Frank does not do well with boarding facilities and has been scared in these situations. He loves people and would do best with a person or family that can spend quality time with him. Frank is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Please apply to adopt Frank at.  Rescueridge.com  and if your application is a possible match a Volunteer will get back to you shortly. No inquiries please without an adoption application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 20, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Wiggly is a handsome boy who is looking for a home. Wiggly is now in a NJ foster home. Wiggly is a sweet, affectionate and playful boy who loves other dogs. He shakes his whole bottom when he is happy! Wiggly can be nervous with new friends or new situations but he is very sweet and warms up with a kind touch and a little patience. Treats help! He is learning housebreaking, crate training and leash skills. We think Wiggly would do best in a home with another dog.  Wiggly is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He  tested negative for heartworm . His adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon!
