Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Story
If you are looking for a resilient and intelligent girl puppy to adopt then look no further.  This girl is called Topaz and at 11 weeks of age she is 13 pounds and not really big but SOLID.   From what we know about dog breeds she is a Black Mouth Cur mix....mostly Black Mouth Cur and she is amazing.  She is social and seeks the wonderful attention of the people around her.  Topaz is especially drawn to young children.  She is so young and so impressionable but yet the impression she has made on all the adults who encounter her is pretty strong in the category of 'exceptional personality'.   We love Topaz but what we require for her is very specific.  A good dog owner who has experience and knows how to guide, lead and shape a dog into an obedient and awesomely trained companion.  This girl will outsmart first time dog owners in a sweet way.  She will protect her family and their property and she will be the most devoted companion and sibling to all the children.   She seeks approvals and she will do what it takes to be good in that lane of doing all the right things as a puppy.  She is crate trained, exceptional in exploration of her home and property and she will be potty trained before most puppies.  We expect this girl to grow up to be a large girl but not a giant.  Her weight should be in the 55 pound range and her presence in your family will be loving and life-changing.   Topaz is a rescued pup who has been through early in life challenges.  Through it all, she has stayed loyal and loving to the humans despite early abandonment.  She is a beauty and of great strength and caring.  She is a dog that will take care of her home and people as she becomes a part of the years ahead that make a family remember her as a special dog that made their life better.   If you are interested and seasoned for a very devoted and smart puppy, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 22, 2025, 9:52 pm

Story
Luna is  a 6 year old 50ish lb beautiful brindle girl.  She came back to us when her adopter’s housing situation changed.  Luna hasn’t lived with other dogs before and we’re told she can be dog selective, so we’re looking for a f home where she can be the only dog for now. She’s happy to pass by others on walks, we just don’t know yet if she wants to share space with them. Luna is not a fan of the crate so someone who is home more often than not who can give her time to acclimate to a new environment is ideal. Her biggest joy is hanging on the couch by your side. Luna  has a moderate energy level and walks pretty well with a harness. She is housebroken,  She’s very loving and attentive to her person, once she's comfortable with them.. Although she hasn't lived with them, she is fine with kids.   Email almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com for more info or an application. Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com is the right one for you! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US!  We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php and http://www.hollysden.com/say_no_to_shock.htm (scroll down and click on the  "Invisible Fencing Systems" link). We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. Story
Meet Tanker — Your Happy-Go-Lucky Zoomie Machine! Looking for a big personality and even bigger laughs? Meet Tanker, our fun-loving, curious goofball who’s full of life (and sometimes a little too full of energy)! Tanker approaches every day like it’s the best day ever. He’s playful, affectionate, and always ready for a good time — but his enthusiasm can get the better of him sometimes. When excited, he tends to bounce around like a pogo stick and might accidentally knock you over in his joy. He’s working on his manners, but his heart is pure gold! Outside, Tanker’s signature move is the zoomies — laps, circles, and joyful sprints that often end with a quick bathroom break. His excitement for life is contagious, and he’ll keep you smiling from ear to ear. Crate trained House trained Good with other dogs and cats Tanker would do best in a home that understands high-energy pups and can help him channel that enthusiasm into play and positive outlets. If you’ve got the patience and sense of humor to match his zest for life, you’ll have a loyal and loving companion who’s never short on personality. Ready to join Tanker’s zoomie club? Story
She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained, does well in a car and does awesome on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and is probably not a fan of cats. She is a sweetheart with people and is ready to go! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy.

These pups are in Quakertown, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Mauser is a striking Pointer mix with the kind of energy and spirit that make life a little more exciting. At around 2 years old and 39 pounds, he’s that perfect medium size for adventures; big enough to keep up on the trails, small enough to curl up beside you when the day winds down. He’s a ball-driven boy through and through– focused, athletic, and happiest when his mind and body are engaged. A home that offers plenty of playtime, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help him thrive. He’s looking to be your one-and-only pup, not because he lacks love to give, but because he shines brightest when he has your full attention and trust. For a dog-savvy household ready for a loyal, spirited companion who turns every day into an adventure, Mauser might just be your perfect match. Mauser's adoption fee is $50 (not including tax) which includes each animal fixed, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, kept on monthly preventions, and dewormed. If you are interested in adopting any of our animals please fill out an application on our website lastchanceranch.org. 🏠Last Chance Ranch 📍9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA ⭐️PA Kennel License #4518
