Story
To learn more about Darcy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Scout is a 3‑year‑old Plott Hound mix who is playful, sweet, and endearingly goofy. He LOVES toys (especially carrying every single one outside to toss in the air), is great with all dogs, and will happily play for hours if you’re up for it. He’d be a great match for an active home with a fenced yard or a human who enjoys walks, runs, and outdoor time — and when it’s time to relax, Scout settles in beautifully. He is housebroken, walks nicely on leash (most of the time!), and has a wonderfully balanced energy level: he is always ready to go but is totally content to settle nearby while I work. He’s incredibly dog‑friendly and has gained confidence by watching and playing with my confident 5-year-old pup, but I believe could also do well as an only dog. He’s also respectful with toys and shows no strong prey drive on walks. With people, Scout is a gentle soul who warms up slowly to new people, but once he trusts you, his affectionate, playful personality really comes out, and he will become your best friend. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding — he’s already come so far in the time he has been with me. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, this sweet, goofy boy could be your perfect match.

He truly has a “love everyone” kind of personality and brings a happy, easygoing energy wherever he goes. During a week-long sleepover, Mash proved just how well-mannered he can be. He handled loud environments with ease, didn’t chew or get into mischief, and rode nicely in the car like a pro. He’s also amazing on leash and enjoys getting out and about, whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a visit to the park where he can soak in all the sights and smells. While Mash absolutely loves being with his people, he’s also shown that he’s trustworthy when left on his own and not prone to destructive behavior based on what we’ve seen. He seems to take downtime in stride and settles in well, making him a great balance of affectionate companion and respectful housemate. At the end of the day, Mash is all about companionship—he thrives on attention, affection, and plenty of cuddle time with his people. At home, Peanut is happy to settle on the couch when you watch TV or read. Peanut is a smart, food-motivated pal who is nearly house trained. He enjoys making new friends, human and canine, and would do well with an active adopter who can help him get his wiggles out and learn confidence about being left home alone. Peanut is actively working on his mischievous side, happily accepting cuddles, playtime, or toys as a distraction from chewing on something. Meet Annie: the Social Butterfly in a Brindle Coat 🐾✨ At 5.5 years old and 55 pounds of pure huggable perfection, Annie is basically the hostess of every party she’s ever been to (and yes, she considers your living room a party). She’s a Plott Hound mix with a coat so stunning it deserves its own Instagram filter. Annie is a pro-level cuddler and firmly believes personal space is a myth invented by people who don’t know what they’re missing. She’s been thriving in her foster home, which is basically Grand Central Station, kids, guests, deliveries, you name it, and she’s loved every second of it. She’s polite on walks, excellent with people of all sizes, and will happily supervise your daily activities to ensure you’re doing them “right.” Whether your home is buzzing with life or you just want a gorgeous, snuggly sidekick, Annie’s ready to clock in. Story
Introducing, Missy! Missy is 8 years old and 65 lbs. This sweet girl was surrendered to a rural animal shelter because her owners had too many dogs. We don't know what Missy's life was like before, but she definitely had many litters of puppies. Missy is currently living her best life in a wonderful foster home. She can be shy at first, but given a few days, her lovely personality will start to show. She has done well with other dogs (slow introductions are always suggested) and loves to run and play. Missy is housebroken, great in the car, and loves going on a long walk. Don't let Missy's age deter you...this girl acts like she's a young pup and has many good years left! Interested in learning more about Missy? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt *Missy spayed, up to date on vaccines, was given monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

*** COURTESY POST ONLY *** Watch her IG video to see what a smart girl Ginnie is!https://www.instagram.com/p/DOo2XkZEU-j/.From Toby's Rescue: This sweet girl, Ginnie, has been living her best life for the last couple of months with her amazing foster parents, Laura and JT. But when they set off for their honeymoon last month, we thought… what better time for Ginny to enjoy a little princess polishing at Premier training? Ginny is playful, happy, and full of love and like any energetic young lady, she wanted some manners training to match her royal charm. Thanks to the incredible team at Premier Training, Ginnie is now an expert at her royal manners and has perfected her sit, stay, place, leave it and walking daintily on a leash. Her trainer said she is such a good girl and wants more than anything to please her people. Ginnie came to us when we said yes to taking Ginnie when she had two options: leave the shelter with a rescue or with her last breath. We scooped her up and got her settled with Laura and JT and she has been bringing smiles and laughter to them ever since. Now she has finished her finishing school, she is ready for her forever home. She’s 11 months old, 42 lbs of pure charm, crate trained, toy-obsessed, and always ready for zoomies followed by snuggles.
