Story
Oakland, CA Chibi was acquired from a shelter, originally coming from an abandoned home. She's estimated to be 3.5 years old. 40 lbs. She's very sweet with new people and her family. She's happy to play all day and knows some tricks like sit, stand, speak, paw, center, fetch, and can even grab and bring water bottles. She's crate trained. Shes very cuddly and likes attention, especially at night. Extremely smart, great at learning advanced tricks. Communicates with her unique barks and noises. Goofy personality. Her ideal home would be one looking for a high energy dog with daily walks and play. A bigger or matching sized dog would also help with her energy. She also plays with smaller dogs, but tends to play rougher. A decent sized apartment or house is also ideal, especially with a yard. Training is recommended for leash pulling, socialization of other dogs and people, and food and crate aggression. Prefer an experienced owner willing to put time and effort into helping her bloom.

Story
I adopted Bear in September 2022 after he was picked up by animal control as a stray. He is incredibly sweet and loving and wants nothing more than to curl up with his owner. I believe he is between 5-8 years old. He is an amazing animal and whoever adopts him will be so lucky to have his love.

Story
Pepper was adopted from the Humane Society last summer at 2 1/2yrs old. She was found with a broken leg and required two surgeries to fix it before listed for adoption. We are unsure of her circumstances before she was at the center, but believe she may have been abused given some of her behavior. She is truly a very sweet dog that loves her human greatly, and wants to be loved in return. She loves to cuddle on the couch and go for walks. She does have some idiosyncrasies such as barking at any sound, person or dog on a walk. Sometimes aggressively. Though she is fine with the new puppy she has lived with for 5 months, as he is small. She has also lived with a cat and didn’t really care about or notice it. We believe she was not house trained before our ownership, we have done the best we could but she can have accidents if not crated when you are out. Our main concern for rehoming is aggressive behaviour to our child if she gets near her when she is not in a good mood.

Story
Cody is an affectionate, happy, senior dog. He was a rescue 12 years ago and has been a good pet for our entire family. He is great with cats and lives with three while having also helped with the 50 kittens we fostered over the years. He wants to be by our side 24/7. He is slowing down now and needs a good home for his last years. We need to spend much more time taking care of aging parents and help our emerging adult children. It is getting harder to manage the increased burden on us and our travel and take care of Cody. He deserves a place where he can rest and be in the presence of owners.

Story
Gus is an energetic 2 year old dog who is on a mission to befriend anyone he meets. He is playful and enjoys the company of other dogs, cats and people. He is a high energy dog that needs lots of exercise but also enjoys hanging out around the house. He would do well in an active home or with another pet. Gus loves to go on walks and reacts well to strangers. He is very affectionate and always asks for belly scratches. Eager to shower his affection on a loving family, this sweet boy is eagerly awaiting his forever home! I have to move for a new job and unfortunately cannot take him with me. While he is not neutered I will pay for the procedure and help with after care.

Due to his owner going into a long term care facility, we need a good loving home for his dog Sarge ASAP. He is a mixed terrier breed long body short legs floppy ears, and around 7 years old. He is very lovable with eyes that stare right through you. Loves to snuggle, and is just a sweetheart. He is indoor/outdoor but prefers indoor. Loves to roam free and not in a crate. Loves to go on short walks. Does not really like cats too much. He is neutered and has all vaccines. Please help to find him a new loving home.
